Why bother? - it has between 276 and (IIRC) 315bhp in standard form depending on year and model spec; so it doesn't really need turbos!

Also there were the cost implications. The 350z was quite reasonably priced and was the equal (or superior; depending on what reviews you believe) to its rivals so I guess turbos weren't necessary.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

good point there richard , would be quite good for a daily runner too and reliable and possibly even better on mpg.but to modify its probably more expensive to modify than the zx ( not sure just assuming because it wouldnt be a small job to convert it turbo)

You're probably right there mate! I don't know how much you'd be talking about for modifying; but I'd say more £s per BHP than a turbod car.

For a turbo conversion inc all the bits and a re-map is around the 7000 - 10000 pound mark.

Mine is the original engine and is supposed to push out 276 bhp. The later models are over 300 bhp and can be identified by a bonnet bulge.

IMO they are good cars however my 300ZX does feel faster.

Only 350z´s with a turbo ( Twin Turbo) that were actually manufactured by Nissan were the 350Z JGTC and the 350 Z Super GT, both using a VQ30DETT engine....and both of them race / track cars.

Just thought I´d throw that in.
