Hi Guys, after searching for a few days i have decided to get seat covers to replace my vert leather, there is nothing wrong with the seats but i needed a bit of a change and fancy some plain looking covers not too ott, I have come across these from the states and the prices are good imo, this is the price e-mail i received for just 2 front seats;

front seats in genuine leather = $375 shipped.

Synthetic leather front seats = $225.

Let us know.

Thanks.

that works out at £150 posted in synthetic or £245 in genuine leather! Any ideas on import costs?

I`m undecided on logo colour, i have made my mind up on black genuine leather with red stitching, but should i go red logo or grey?

The first pic is done with black stitching, where i would have red as in no2 and 3

Yeh just the skin`s mate, i have been reading a few past threads on here, some say its an easy job and some not? I will be taking mine to a upholster in Preston, he quoted me £160 to remove both covers re-stitch in red stitching and replace!! so he only needs to fit the covers now, so should be quite a lot cheaper!!

what colour logo would you have?

Dont think it makes any odd's it's just the skin so you would remove the original tweed and replace :)

Don't waste your time with the vinyl covers, get the leather ones. MUCH nicer feel, look AND smell. :)

I would have the logo in the same colour as the seats, so it didnt actually stand out. It was simply some stitching detail and was nice and subtle. That doesnt seem a bad price at all. £400 or so for new leather seats basically, do they do the door cards and other bits?

i dont think that the rest of the trimming would fit with the kits being made for the american market i.e. left hand drive.

red logo to match the stitch, fairlady z one as it looks so goood

mmmm, I did like the red at first, but liking the grey or even black as Quavey mentioned , may look a little over the top in red, I do like the fairladyz embroidery though!! decisions/decisions

The seat covers look good daz and i'd go for the grey logo :)

Chris

Yeh grey is looking good mate, a bit less in yer face than the red!!

By the way, how do i reply to lots of answers in one go?? is it the double quote icon??

Yep thats it make click on the multi quote on as many posts as you want to quote then hit reply and you can then put your replies after each quote etc>

Chris :D

Out of the red or grey 'Z' logo I'd definitely say grey, although as Quavey mentioned it, I think black would actually look really good, nice and subtle.

I retrimmed my seats not too long ago - I'd say once you know what you're doing it's pretty straight forward, although to start with when you're not entirely sure which bits you need to undo, and how, it takes a little while to get going.

Would be interested in if they could do the trim bits for a RHD car, as that doesn't look a bad price.

oh really

Can you have them without the logo - cause that would get my vote.

yes Phil, we could have any logo or not
