Yes the car I owned for six and a half years went to the crushers a few months ago :(.

Failed mot on a rotten sil, a hole the size of a 50p, and the other side was cracked, also a bald inside edge on tyre (no adjustable camber arms lowered on 18's) I have had rust welded up on vans before and it really is a long term battle. I knew that it was its final year last year as the arches were going bubbly the filler was cracking and on some parts the kit was coming away.

It was a sad day but I knew it would'nt last forever.

All the parts off it will be put on my new series one car a year older but only been imported since 2005, very clean body.

Lots of work to do, just need some motivation and a of couse some spare cash (no chance lol)

Before and After, (only taken about 2 weeks apart)

Daz

looked nice aswell, just shows how a bodykit can hide alot.

Rear bumper is very nice!!

Like the momo handbrake and gear knob aswell.

Daz, yep the carpet was out of that one, and the rear will be swapped even though it hates the driveway :cursing:

Craig, It was already gone, the drain pipe from the roof that goes into the sil literally fell out of the bottom of the car, keano was present when I knocked the sil from the outside, it rotted inside to out m8, even if the welding was done the kit would have to be off and on then a respray which would probally cost 500 notes.

I still have the pipe, it looks like its been recovered from the titanic

Dave, the engines goin in my new one even at 100,000 it proven its stong so It can replace the 48,000 miler one thats currently in running on a seized turbo. was thinking about goin for a bit more power but don't have the cash matey, even so the thought of the bigger injectors feeding more petrol on a already poor consumption car is crazy lol

Not really my slice of pie, but sad to see one go to the scrappers. Bet you're gutted. :(

Wow, that's a sorry site to see Paul :(

At least Billy's grey one went to a good home and you'll be able to make a nice one out of the two.

A lot of work in front of you though. Best of luck with it mate.

it certainly is sad seeing before and after pics that are not the conventional way round :(

Ahh Now all becomes clear! Such a real shame to see this mate! Really must be gut wrenching but at least you have salvaged all the good bits and you can restore that one billy had to its former glory. Look at it this way, youve now got a spare engine from the Grey one to get rebuilt into a monster ;)

Good luck with the build up mate, if there is anything you want a hand with and I can help give us a shout, im not that far away and drive past bolton a few times a week!

Such a shame to see a zed go to the scrappers......Looked fair enough.

I love the number plate, please tell me you have kept it??

Could'nt keep it, too new for the k plate, sold to a forum member though, that was the real heart breaker I suppose I could have found an L reg one if I waited/looked hard enough :death:

rofl!

i remember viewing that car at a garage in bolton, many years ago, when it was white! never forgot the number plate, have also seen you drive it down beaumont road (i think that's what it's called), near chew moore lane, that car was a big influence on me buying a zed many years later! gutted pal, i would've had you back bumper too matey, after a uk spec one!!!

Tudor - The car was first registered in horwich in 1993, I purchased the car from Derby 6 1/2 years ago, and tbh I was undecided weather or not to buy it no history, previous repaired light front end but the 60,000 mile stamp was under the bonnet done after 3 years of ownership so it was all motorway until then. I got it cos it took me 6 months to find (and also had a favorable haggle :))

Sorry about the UK bumper :(

Should have let on m8 on beaumont road.

Rev Richie - I have 2 tailgates here the spoiler has been taken off the orange one the glass heater don't work either, I also have a yellow one which I sanded down and never did anything with, these are both covered up in garden but I recently got a quote to send one of these and that came out at £70

If you see a bright yellow zed matey, in bolton, horwich or westhoughton, chances are it'll be me! (well, as soon as she's back on the road, not long now!) I remember the engine was as sweet as nut when i viewed it...
