Gullwing doors serve a purpose on the cars they were fitted to, its because of the spaceframe chassis used on the original gullwing that made it have a very high sill, which meant a "normal" door would have been difficult to use, the solution was to hinge them from the roof which gave it a very distinctive look but also made sure there was enough space to get into the car. It is however, a piece of engineering to solve a problem, not to look good! Although they look absolutly fantastic on the merc (not so sure about this one, but the original was amazing) much like lambo doors on anything else they look totally gash!

Like bunny ears.

Tho........as its unusual and not following the crowd i kind of like it.
