converting car from auto to manual.

 

does manual gearbox use oil cooler? i was wondering because i also wish to get a new radiator for the zed and need to knwo what radiator i need to get.

 

I.E do i need a seperate rad for manual gearbox or use an uprated auto radiator which has built in oil cooler?

Looking at the manual box i,ve got to fit i,d say yes but the question i want to ask , would a 10 row Mocal i was using on the autobox be a bit of an over kill on a manual ? sorry for partially hijacking your thread bud :blush:

UK cars had a Manual gearbox oil cooler as standard.

 

Imports do not.

 

Required? No, not in my opinion.

Uk definitely has oil cooler for box, I bypassed mine 3 years ago and the box has not melted yet.

are you very sure lads that bypassing is safe option ??

 

The jdm cars never had oil coolers and dont suffer as a result.Loop the pipes its fine.Ive done it before with no probs.

ok thanks . and i will shave off rest of them pipes cooler and cooler motor ..

as a result of that some more kgs will be reduced .)
