Going round in circles here!! i have been told by 2 x companies that the power the car is producing requires a twin plate clutch poss exeddy type!

My other parts are being held up because of that volcano and now this not sure i am going to make Japfest this year:taz:

What do you guys reckon, going to cost me 1500+ for the clutch:censored::censored:

I got a xtd clutch with a lightened flywheel from the states a few years ago and it managed to hold 439 torque. Not bad I only paid abot £320 delivered in all but that was back then. If you could change yourself maybe that should do until something comes up, just don't go mad pn the fast pedal.

Just put another RPS max in and turn the boost down to 12 psi :)

Sorry I shouldn't joke. I feel for you mate, you're not really getting what you paid for here.

I fried an Exedy Twin Plate Clutch in 960 miles.:sad:Banged in a RPS Max + segmented flywheel and not had a proplem running 18.9 PSI. I did get my £1400 plus expenses back after going to war with the Japanese.:tank:

Amazing Vinny COMPLETLY different to what i have been told a rps max clutch would be capable of:confused1::confused1::confused1::confused1:

My RPS Max is already knackered and slipping within 3000miles of fitting. Boost is only on 12psi but under heavy acceleration it just slips everytime.

Decided to just use it til it's completely gone as RPS have only offered a free checkup and replacement so would be up to me to bear the cost of removing and posting the unit to the US...just not worth the hassle...

Not sure what I'll go for next. Zedworld have a 5puck which may be suitable but have read bad things about pucks....

had my exeddy twin in for over a year now, plenty of track days and hard gear changes. i cant fault it. the trouble with twin plates is you need to use them correctly i.e. keep your foot of the clutch pedal when not using it and dont slip it at all. they need a lot of beding in but, if all done correctly, should last you a long time

See what i mean!!! complete mind field, really cannot afford to go down the twin plate route at the moment even though its regarded as the best suited to my car!

What a head **** this is:mad2:

Lisa f bought an xtd it it got fried in no time, now rps max no problems, you do have to make sure that clutch pedel is adjusted properly else it will eat any clutch.
