as above i am looking to do my interiora sort of light cream colour and to do my seats the same but with blue piping.

can anyone recommend a DIY kit?

i would prefer leather or imitation but then again i can see J1mmytt's interior is suede and also looks good.

going to a specialist at this stage is not an option and would like to keep the costs down by doing it myself.

sort of liek this effect but a bit light and blue piping (optional on the piping)

hmmm. not too bad but is there anything even more DIY?

i will keep an open mind about these though but would like to see if i can go cheaper... not fussed about quality leather... just want the look

ebay mate, there's a seller on there doing the panel retrim kit in a large choice of colors, but be warned he does not supply the seat retrims, only the side panels, glove box, under steering wheel and center console, basically, all retrims for the rest of the interior panels except the seats. for around £67 and £23 P&P due to it coming from the states.

any idea what i could do for the seats? covers or get some fabric in and try it myself? i like the look of J1mmytt's seats although they are not standard seats.

i might have to save up for kat skinz but it might look odd having tweed seats and updated dash trim

I got this set from e-bay, it is not leather, but for the price it is a good piece of kit. Check my ride for some piccies!!

thats exactly what im after but was hoping to get similar colour on the seats :)

would black velour seats match with that colour in a blue car?

Im toying with the idea of getting the material in, and taking my seats out, unstiching them all, and using them as a template and making the seat covers my self. if you take your time and use a good stitch, or even better know how to use a sowing machine, you can get a good finish on it. and the beading is easy as well, just use a thin strip of material, and fold it over inbetween the two halves your sowing together.

but would black velour suit a blue bodied car with white dash re-trim?

just thinking the black would eb easier to keep clean on the seats

my last car had a cream interior, and i found it was very easy to keep clean, just use baby wipes of all things lol

Im not sure about the color combination unless i see it.

I have retrimmed my rear seats in plain black trim from "woolies". They are almost a perfect match for my recaro fronts. Have a look at the website.

put some cord in the piping!! eg the strips that your using as piping fold them over some thick cord or u can buy plastic piping to fold it over! otherwise it will colapse & lose shape on corners etc! ps u need a good sewing machine to do leather work !! a household machine probably wont be up to the job!

Hi, I redid my interior in my last car, an Mr2,see first pic, it was done in leatherette, it was okay but its not very flexible.

I have bought some real leather

will have a go my self, its not that difficult, take the part off remove existing trim/clean up and add leather, you have to be careful what glue you use and how you glue it, but i' up for it.

That's for garment making. IE thin! No wonder it's 18 quid a hide!

Simon, It's all i could find without going to places that supply Jaguar etc, As for the thinness, i agree it may be not quite fit the bull, but i was going to place foam sheet underneath, but if its no good, then its only 18 Quid wasted..
