hi peeps, firstly does the zeds cc work well? I have a breaker and am thinking about wipping out all the cc stuff to stick it in my slicky, does the cc wiring run into the main loom or is it seperate? Is there a seperate controll unit for it or is it?

Cruise control ECU is in passenger footwell, labelled A.C.C.S. The Wiring is part of the Main loom but I have no idea if the loom is shared or if it differs.

I dont recall ever seeing spare Cruise control ecu connector in footwell and cruise control actuator connector in engine bays for non-cruise controle equipped cars though.

Spot on Dave. Non cruise control Zeds do not have the necessary wiring so a plug and play jobber would not be on the cards. I know, I took everything off a breaker to fit on my Zed............no plugs , no wiring, no chance.

Just bought a 1996 TT with no cruise and it appears to have the harness for cruise.

Its a series 4 zed so maybe they started using the same harness in the later of the series !

i will be following your adventure closely about this cc as i have all the buttons etc there ready to go on my side pods but no cruise control function so im intrested in installing one aswell.

If your going to retrofit then try and get a UK Cruise control ECU. Its speed range is better suited to our roads.

Going up to Glasgow this Saturday to see about the bits needed, and going to compare the two zeds to see what I've missing !

what are you heading to glasgow for bud?

You can hack the cruise control ECU from 105km/h to 148km/h
