I dont think you can, but would not want to go with that 100%, it always intreaged me as to what would happen if you had an auto in nuetral through using the orange top'd lock on the gear stick, rolled it and then selected drive, not saying try this by any means if you have a similar switch, as it's only used to move a car on to a trailor i think? and could cause damage

someone will know 100% though ;)

I think you can BUT it has to be towed at more than 30 mph to avoid damage to the box. I also stand to be corrected

Thats why i said i'm not 100% lol, i'm sure its been done in the fasion we are on about just not sure if its a good idea !!!

Don't try and tow start an auto you may damage the gearbox as the oil pump inside the box will not be working and you will damage the clutch plates.

well, it seems to be a 50/50 thing, its not worth anything anyway and the box only selects 1 2 and 3, 4th dosent seem to engage so its on its way out anyway,,

sod it, i'll try it later and let you guys know if a nackerd it or not!! lol

I would wait and see what jeff says or someone else with good mechanical knowledge, but if it's knackered i will leave the final decision with you
