Thanks, got Ratty home today. Was too late to take pics but will take some tommorow.

Quite chuffed with the car, not had a manual for many many years and it pulls like a good 'un. Drove it from the midlands to London all good except it pissed down from start to stop and the windscreen wipers squeak something awful, feel like Ive been tortured.

Ratty seems all good mechanics wise came with a brand new test just he needs some paint. Surprisingly no dents but some paint and lacquer peel and corrosion mainly around that soft foam rear spoiler. Leather has the usual rips on bolsters. He has not had much exercise for a while (was sorn) so will have to spend some time in his wheel.

I do have abit of a liking for the *rat look* infact ive been looking for an m535i for a few months due to the infamous ratty one that made the rounds around the internet. So im kind of inclinded to leave him as a rat and just get some more power.

I paid £1790, not fantastic.. but not bad.

Scottish welcome from up here ! apiper.gif

Get a few pics up if you can, we all like pics.

This site will become your second home in the near future, with good reason !

Alan...............

£1790 isn't a bad price for a manual TT. Saying that I paid less than half that for mine :tt2:

Couple shots of my other ride , Mr. Shiney :turned:

its not that ratty! nice interior, nice key ;)

Yeah, its not that bad really. Just that front bumper but you can get an aftermarket bumper new for £99.

Yes its one of those ugly overpriced Lexus SC430 things. Whats the point in modifying a perfectly good car like a BMW that handles fine and has plenty of power. Much better to modify a dog :cool3:

I like them cos' their unusual.. something different. Infact I dont see many 300zx's on the road either.

hmmm yes lol, they aren't everyones cup of tea, but if you are keeping the rest fairly standard then I'd suggest buying a standard TT front bumper off someone on here, you'll get a good one for under £50.

Series 2 manual UK TT, for that little money it looks alrite! It wants a good wash and a new front bumper as you say but apart from tht it doesnt look bad at all. Seats look in reasonable condition and the bodywork looks straight enough! It just looks a bit neglected, no one has been under that bonnet in a while judging by the colour of it all!

If I were you the first thing I would do is give it an oil change, especially if its been stood!

Despite the paint defects, that's pretty straight and rust free looking at it from here. A nice fresh coat of paint and some refurbishment to the wheels and it'll look good.

Never liked the Lexus SC, but always had the urge to get one and midly modify it....yours does look good. Although not feeling the vents in the wings.
