got z back on the road last month all has been fine until about the last week now i turn the key in the ignition and it takes what would seem a age to fire up some times starts first turn of the key but rare.

does not matter if the engine is hot or not.

have a new battery checked voltages, cleaned ptu only thing i aint changed is the spark plugs any ideas?

i had same problem found out my compression is low hope it isnt the same for you. However other places i checked were fuel leaks around the plenum very common and i upgraded to a series 2 ptu

dont tell me that lol i shall try cleaning all the connectors 2moz in the light.

Did you check plugs? injector connectors? coil packs? any connections going from the main loom to the engine? also change fuel filter as its easy to get to and cheap? does it sound like its starved of fuel when trying to start it?

i have not tried the other things yet as have not had the time will try and get round to m8s workshop and test.
