Top Speed

I've got a 93'tt 2+2 94000 miles and it clocks 175@approx6500-6700rpm (manual)on a slight down hill and 165mph coming back the other way (slight incline)the car is stock to the best of my knowledge (had it about 6 months)i thought they were speed limited???155mph and its only producing 5psi boost dodgy wastegate soon to be fixed(although boost gauge standard one shows 14psi)so the question is,is this about right for everyone or as mine been modded previously?and just for interest how fast does your's go.no lies please with standard wheels, gearing and rev limit the cars good for 190.3mph theorectly P.S it took about 4 miles to get to the speed!!

Dont believe your stock boost gauge its probably miles out. If your car has a chip fitted or its a jap import with a speedo conversion then thats why you didnt hit the speed limiter, UK is limited to 155 and Jap 112mph.

If your car is upgraded it wont make too much diference top end speed it will only get there quicker. With no limiter you wouldnt have much problem pulling over 160 even in stock form.

and by the way this is the 'FOR SALE' forum biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
