HI Guys,

My car has has a problem since i bought it with Knocking. It only happens to the left front wheel when on right hand lock? Doesn't happen at all on left hand lock.

My first thought is drop links. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Cheers

iirc someone mentioned on here it could be the bushes but not sure what ones, an I can't use the search funtion now I'm using my phone again

tie rods?.... could be the bushes in them flexing under load or the rod is moving because the bolts have worn away the holes into something like an oval shape where they fix onto the crossmember...in some situations they can crack/rust right through, get a pry-bar and have a good poke about...hard to do/check on a driveway...use of a post lift is ideal to investigate suspension stuff

OK guys thanks for the help.

Changed the wheels over and put my new 18" alloys on and it has for some reason not only cured the balance issue but also the issue with the knocking?

Really pleased about that :)

First, pictures..... you should know you cant say "ive put my alloys on" without providing pictures, we are picture whores here and love to see new stuff stuck to your motor.

Second, still get it checked out. it might of stopped knocking, but doesn't mean the problem isn't still there. worth getting anything to do with suspension knocking checked out. last thing your going to need is a part of that falling off while driving and smashing your alloy or car body apart. needless to say about losing control of the car as well.

Tis always best to air on the side of caution.

I think you may have had some loose wheel bolts.

i'd have had your Zed inb a heartbeat mate if you hadn't lived so damn far away lol. even bought the same wheels as you had and now looking for that kind of spoiler.

I'll post up some pics when i get my pc up and running properly. After 4 hours to virgin yesterday about my net connection i find that both my desktop and laptop have something wrong with them that stops them connecting to the net properly :(
