Hi guys, as some of you are aware I bought some parts off a member here.

These were to include....

1. A brand new Border Fuel Rail with 550 injectors. £350

2. A set of mark 2 series clocks with plasma dials. £100

3. A set of silver faced dials brand new and unused. £140

4. A set of TT decat pipes with silencers used for 500 miles. £70

Now I put dibs on the Fuel Rail + injectors and clocks on Dec 29

I PM'd the person and asked were the series 2 clocks UK spec as I had been looking for UK spec for some time.

I was told that as far as he knew they were UK spec and he had changed the dials in them some time previous and hadn't got round to fitting them.

I told him i'd take them if they were definitely UK spec and I'd also take the silver dials as i didn't like the plasma ones. I definitely mentioned that if the clocks were not UK spec, i'd only take the silver dials as I could convert my own Jap clocks.

Anyhow I sent this person 763 euro by bank transfer for the above mentioned parts on 25th Jan, the bank teller told me that 763 euro would equate to £659.94. On the 29th Jan I recieved a pm saying he'd recieved £639.01 which was not the agreed amount (his words)

I informed him what the bank teller had said and he asked for the postal address without further comment, which I gave him.

He informed me that he'd posted the clocks and dials on 1st Feb and was looking for a box for the injectors and fuel rail (i thought this was odd as I would have posted everything in one parcel to save on postage), he also said i'd have to send him more money to cover the cost of posting the decat pipes as it was too expensive for him.

On 6th Feb I recieved a parcel posted on 2nd Feb which was extremely well wrapped with packaging tape but had nothing in it but fresh newspaper and a small square of bubble wrap:closedeyes:. This was an Airsure Priorty parcel which had cost £10.02 to post, it weighed 450g as it was with just paper. I told him this and gave him the tracking no.LY52057307 7GB on 7th, He said he would get onto the post office on the 8th Feb. On the 9th I recieved another parcel which cost £19.99 with tracking no. CP670947322GB, This parcel contained the clocks and dials:whistling:. Upon examining the clocks there is some masking tape on the top with "UK mk 2 PCB and Trip" with about 1" ripped off and under this writing is "Jap TT mk2 clocks + "with 1" of the label ripped off also. ie. they are JAP clocks:sad:.

I pm'd him saying i'd recieved the clocks and how'd he get it sorted but got no reply regarding same.

On the 18th Feb I pm'd him asking when would I get the rail and injectors to which he replied he'd already sent them and that i'd recieved them, I told him that i'd recieved nothing else and could I get the tracking no. which he gave as LY52057307 7GB (the empty parcel). He has since gone off the forum for whatever reason but left me his phone no.07946703969, I texted him last night asking had he any info regarding my parts, He replied that he'd sent me a pm(which i had received) with the tracking no. and that he had records that it had been delivered (The empty parcel) and I should get onto Customs as they were opening parcels. I asked him to check if he may have sent the parts to someone else by mistake?? He got all defensive and said that mine was the only parcel that had been messed up and he had sent many parcels that week with high value items and all had arrived safely with the exception of mine which was International. He mentioned Daz Vert had seen the receipts of postage. Now i'm not pointing the finger but he has receipts for 2 parcels which both arrived at my house, neither had been tampered with, one was just full of newspaper and the other had the clocks. I used to work for the Post Office and know if customs opened a package they send a form to the Post Office requirng extra payment etc. I now work for the Dept. of Justice and have been doing so for the last 8 years and have spoken to customs through contacts. The parcels were both un-opened. Did anybody who bought parts off Redbaron receive a Fuel Rail and 550cc injectors by mistake as, so far I've paid £659.94 for a set of converted Jap clocks(which I didn't want) and a set of silver dials:angry:. If you can shed some light on these problems I would be most grateful, What do you guys think, as i'm going to be looking for a full refund if it is not sorted soon.

I'd also like to point out that I've bought parts from a lot of members on this forum and have no complaints, these parts have come from all over England and I've also recieved numerous parcels from the U.S. where customs have been involved and all arrived safely. I've also bought lots of parts for my Evo 8 off the guys on the MLR and all arrived without drama.

Has anyone else had problems buying off REDBARON, please share your experiences.

Thanks for reading, any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

paypal has measures in place for empty parcels used to obtain proof of postage (I have had this myself received nothing but a flyer in an envelope sent recorded delivery and had to get a crime number from the police for their investigations and show them the evidence) not sure if it would work the same for a bank transfer

Hi.

I`ve bought from redbaron two lambda sensors a while ago and I have received them in a box WITH NEWSPAPERS. I had no trouble at all... apart from the fact that before buying I`ve asked if they were original nissan sensors and he replyed yes. After they were delivered and received by me I`ve noticed that BOSCH is the brand. I don`t know if it should be written Nissan on them or not...

Not nice business this, feel for you mate.

Roughly where does Redbaron live?

I'm having problems with a pair of R33 Brembo, one of which has been broken and welded.

So I'm gunning for a refund. Although I bought off Ebay.

Some people are just crap!

He hasnt been on since the 22nd, so may be on holiday or something, best to get the full picture before this turns into a witchhunt, He also frequents the z club, so may be worth having a gander.

I'm not after a witch hunt bud, he seemed genuine enough, i reckon he sent them elsewhere by mistake maybe?? he did send a lot of stuff but he seems to have taken offence to me questioning him regarding my parts. HAS ANYONE RECEIVED PARTS THAT THEY DIDN'T ORDER FROM HIM IE. MY FUEL RAIL AND INJECTORS. I PAID FOR THESE ITEMS, so if someone received them by mistake and has not said anything it's a bit unfair. The parcel he sent me only cost £10 so I reckon it would've cost more than this if the fuel rail + injectors were inside.

Has anyone any idea what should be done next??

He did say in one of his For Sale posts that he wouldn't have internet or landline and left his mobile no.

Im not going to be out of pocket by £659.94 (763 euro) with nothing to show for it!!

having spoken to him on the phone about this whole fiasco Rich a few times he informed me he was going to refund you the full amount...did'nt know this was still ongoing:(

Hey Brian, as you know for the last month i've been extremely patient and diplomatic giving the benefit of doubt to Phillip, at this stage he thinks he's the injured party, i've nothing to show for my money, he has the money in his a/c and i've a set of poxy jap clocks that were supposed to be UK spec, I didn't even mind that as long as my fuel rail and injectors arrived. There's no way in hell a used set of injectors wouldn't leave newspaper stinking of petrol. I've bought 750cc RC injectors for the Evo and they came in the original plastic case with the foam padding, wrapped in copious amounts of newspaper and bubble wrap and the whole parcel was reaking of petrol.

I'm an easy going guy and get on with everyone but i won't be made a fool of.

I'm the one asking people if they got the parts by mistake and making all the phone calls!

It's up to him to find these things not me, he's responsible for the items posted so he should be doing all the running around!!

I'm sick of this s**t, I love coming on the forum and watching the banter, I've dealt with Yassa, Jimmytt, Zed-sean, Jaffaz32 and others (sorry GibsterTT) etc and we've all gotten on grand. It really pains me that this happens to people, it destroys trust in clubs and sites.

Where should I go from here??

Has Dazvert looked at this thread, can he shed any light on this matter if he knows this person personally? ( sorry to bring you in on this dazvert, but i'd like to know)

mate i really feel for you over this but your not going to like what ive got to tell you next...although ime the trading liason officer for this club and i really do my best over matters such as this there comes a point when i cant do any more iff a member is not responding to pm's or threads and ultimately its a transaction between 2 partys and out of the clubs hands mate..Now i do have resorces that i could use on a member not responding to another members complaints but believe me mate it would really hinder your chances of a result in this case..can i suggest in this case to try and sit tight untill the member has been online and at least read your latest pm's then we can go from there. As much as this is very frustrating and with you feeling the need to vent your anger i really think this type of action with these threads could make it worse for yourself mate..ile send him another pm and we'll go from there;)

Thanks Brian, but as he stated in his "gto parts for sale thread" he's not going to have any internet after last weekend ie 21st/22nd. so I reckon we're wasting our time sending him Pm's.

What would other members do in this situation??

Really feel for you Richie. I had a very poor experience with Redbaron only a few weeks ago but thanks to Bri I managed to get a refund. I really hope this all gets sorted for you bud.

As for TurboCraigy's R33 brembos - I believe they were the very same ones that were sent to me which were then listed on ebay!

Bosch do manufacture the sensors. I'm pretty sure the sensor housing or the connectors have the Nissan Hamburger logo on them.

If they are genuine, then they are just plug and play. If the aren't, then you'll need to cut the connector from your old sensors.

TurboCraigy, the address on my parcel says Blackpool??

I have a full address on the parcel but don't think I should post it right now, as Brian is trying to sort it out.

has anyone had any contact from redbaron in the last day as ive seen this...Last Activity: Yesterday 22:34:(

Untill you speak to him personaly its best not to point the finger just yet, these forums can make a deal turn sour (with other people sticking their oar in,like me,now:D)when there could have been a happy ending,so keep on trying to contact him.Dont lose the rag yet,as they say, cos it maybe a genuine mistake.700euro is alot of buck to lose....

enough been said and point been made....Ritchy any problems pm me:wink:
