What does this connect to?

I have been fitting the new EFI loom and have got a connecter that I don't know where it goes to. Its on the bunch with the AAC Valve, Exhaust gas sensor, VTC solenoid, Injector and coilpack.

Here is a pic of the connector below. I ve looked at the online manual and it doesn't seem to show this connector.

Anyone know where it goes please?

Thanks,

Ant

I think its the connector for stock boost solenoids. If you fit an aftermaket boost controller these have to be disconnected / bypassed. Should be a plug either side of engine.

Thanks Kev. That's what I thought it was first of all, but found that to be another connecter which is on another part of the loom.

I'm starting to think it may be from something I've deleted.

Cheers anyway Kev.

Yea Im in the process of putting my engine back in but I've got a new engine harness to do first... How in the hell did you get the old one out? Mine seems welded in there!

Dash out job its starting to look like?

it is possible with the dash in, but i took mine off, the harness has a metal plate that holds it in place on the inside of the bulkhead, it has two bolts, 12mm i think (might be wrong), but it is very hard to see or get to, i took the dash out and the air con matrix as it is behind there, proper ball ache, but if i did another i could probably manage it without removing the dash, but until you've done it once, it's very hard to know where abouts that bast*rd metal bracket is! Well worth it in the end tho, i also repaired the dash where it was lifting apart whilst i had it out....

is it for your old cruise controll???

as for loom...can be done by taking the glove box out then the ac box behind!

Getting the old one out is dead easy... cut it. As for geting the new one in we are doing that probably next week after we have finnished relocating the fusebox.

ignore that plug.Thats an american loom and will have some plugs the uk/jdm cars dont use.As your fitting a boost controller, cut off the unwanted plugs and tape up the wires to keep the engine bay looking tidy.It is possible to do the inside part of fitting the loom with the dash in.fiddly but possible.

How are you finding doing the engine harness? we have to do ours soon....

Bit fiddly, as I'm trying to hide the loom as well. Right PITA to get it through the bulk head, ended up taking the glovebox and a few other bits out to make it easier.

Enjoy, it's not too bad.

Thanks for that Jimmer. Just out of interest what is the connecter for?
