Hi

i am jay and I am from durham.

I am thinking of buying a 300zx. But I have reservations due to bad experiences.

I am used to buying new cars and the last jap import i bought was a complete dog.

I dont fancy spending much over 3000 quid, but i want a car I know will be reliable and not cost me another 3000 to fix.

I see there is a buyers guide here, I will give that a look. But any advice on a 3000 grand budget would be apreciated.

hello and all that....well for £3k i'd get the best non turbo (n/a) zed that you can for £1000 and stick the rest in the bank :D

Hi Jay

Welcome to the forum, £3000 should get you a decent motor but you will always spend something on it somewhere...lol

Chears. I dont expect it to be perfect being nearly 20 years old. But I was wanting a turbo.

There seems to be a hell of a lot check on the buyers guide. I guess I would need an expert/enthusiast to come along with me. I dont want to end up with another dog.

Im sure there will be a member on here that will go with you.

Welcome to the site :w00t:

Welcome to the club Jay.

I got my first zed when i was 21. Found that insurance for a Jap Spec Twin Turbo was double what it was for a UK Spec.

welcome to the forum jay

theres a few for sale on here at the mo, I'd certainly like to think you would get a decent one for £3k!

Welcome to the forum, and as said 3k should get you a well looked after z32

good luck :)

You can definately get a nice example for 3K - theer are a few on sale here at the moment which have been lovingly looked after. You can also get a decent one for much less, I paid £1500 for mine, (its is an auto though) and she's been good as gold really. (he says thinking of 3 the trips to Tamworth already made:whistling:) Nothing major, and she's a daily drive.

I would imagine that someone from the forum would come and look at some with you, they are a helpfull bunch on here to be honest.

Good luck with the search, and welcome to the club

Hello mate, and welcome Iam new to the site and zed too, so learning myself lol.

Mark

Welcome to the club mate!

Take a look in the for sale section - there are usually some nice cared for examples going here. There are some good examples around for £3k; I only paid a little more than that for my latest ZX and it's truly an excellent example!

Good luck in your search,

Richard:cool2:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
