I`m thinking of buying an engine stand, would this be suitable for our z engine?

that should be fine mate, i think the engine only weighs about 250 kg ish....

yes, although I prefer a 4 legged/wheeled stand.

I was going to make one, but when I realised how cheap they are , it seem`s more economical to buy than make one, I dont think you could buy the parts for what they are selling them for!!!

Only 250kg:lol::lol: I had a bad back for two days getting it out the van with a mate, engine hoist hadnt arrived in time, managed to get it on a wheeled flightcase, same height as the van and wheeled it into the garage.

 

Got to get it on the stand yet:ohmy:

made by ting tongs for 60p a day helps also....just dont leave it outside for a week as you'll be brushing up paint:lol:
