just been looking through my files and i started work in september 1995 (officially lol), not bad considering michelle has had 6 jobs in the 9 years of me being with her, i havent got any great qaulifications and i hated school, but got this job when i was 15 but couldnt start officially till i was 16 and have never looked back, not a great paying job but i can honestly say i actually love my job and dont mind getting up early in the morn to go to work (although sometimes i would like to have a lie in lol), i have had only 5 days off on the sick due to sudden sickness (hangover) and have never ever been late and always start half hour early (7.30am instead of 8.00am)

 

i think that is quite an achievement, just thought i would share this with anyone who gives a shite lol

Ive been doing this job now for about 4 years. But its not a job really as i get to play with my car etc.

 

In summer i always try to finish around 1ish so i can chill for the rest of the day. waxing my car and looking over the sea :biggrin:

18 years is the longest i have done in one job, and to date i have done 11 years in my present job.Had a couple of other jobs that i never stayed in for long.

Now into my 21st year as a plant operator for a water utility, work shifts and at work now till 22-00.

Started working for BT when I was 16, back in 1980 and still here almost 30 years later.

will be have been in work 20 years this year, 1st job was computer design for a rubber stamp factory using quark express and original Mac II did that for 9 years, then worked in a call centre, then pcw world and now laptop repairs all under the DSG umbrella, will be 11 years this year, we are moving to a huge new workshop in Newark, I have been offered redundency but its a paltry 11k which i dont feel is worth it, so just gonna stick out the transfer and see how it goes. It is practically the same job but maybe repairing consoles and flat panels, i do find it abit unerving changing jobs tho.

Left school in '86, bummed around doing packing jobs etc for a year or

so, having a laugh with my mates, then got a job as an apprentice chippie,

went to college, stayed with that company for 13yrs, left and went self

employed as a window fitter, subbed off the same company for 8yrs, now

i've gone back to the first company as a surveyor.
