What makes 1 set of coilover better than another? There is such a vast choice of manufacturers available for a range of prices. The job they do is fairly simple and they all seem to have adjustable damping and rebound levels... so, if they all have these attributes, how can 1 be better than another?

build and material quality  also some coilovers go lower than other and have more adjustment.

I put some Tein Monoflex ones in today, they are lush and have a bucket load of adjustment.

its all in the R&D, some companies just make a shock and spring and think that is it, some companies do alot of testing to get the best results of different materials and produce them once happy

your not wrong there mate, and that is why in future any suspension components i buy or recommend will be meisterr as the R&D he does is amazing.

that's exactly the point... those puppies are around 1400 quid+ ... the next person who has spent half that price on, say, HSD's would quote...

so are yours actually better in the performance? i appreciate the r&d and the use of more exotic materials to give lower unspring weight but is this a fact? how much do monoflex' weigh compared to HSD?

yassa, you say build material and quality... are you then saying that your friend at meisterR is building cheapo quality components?

I only bought mine cos I wanted the EDFC as well so you can control the damping in the car. You know its the boys and toys thing, other than that I would have probably bought some BC racing ones. I know what you mean suspension is a hard one, im sure there are some reviews somewhere?.

I would consider the Monoflex and HSD equivelents to be very comparable. Teins have always been overpriced and of average quality, with models such as the Flex and Superstreets being below spec of others on the market, yet still costing more. The EDFC is the best selling point of Teins.

The Ksports/D2's ..etc have a bad reputation for quality. Inconsistent valving and leaks. Damping and Springs are too stiff also. This shows lack or R&D and poor quality control standards.

Tbh, anything under 1500pounds could be wonsidered a Budget Coilover systems anyway. They all use internal reservoirs without seperate bound and rebound control.

do you have any opinion on the miesterR coilovers?

i would go for BC Joe tried and tested and also have about 18 more damper settings. you cannot fault the quality of these part :cool3:

nope, im saying he spends lots and lots of time and money on reasearch and development and builds the best of quality components.

exactly mate, some people just want the best for nowt, the same people think that cutting springs to get the ride height they want is better than spending the cash on the components that will keep them on the track or road in a safe manner

not worth the risk IMHO

I still like my D2's everyone says they are a death trap, but i like them, and they havent killed me yet.
