I dont know why, but i have a project to mess about with.

Im thinking of getting a reliant robin or kitten as a shell, but fitting in a 2.8 capri V6 Essex engine in or a very tuned zetec. Not to used on the road, only at the pod.

Ive seen a panda with an intergrale 4x4 in, and a robin with a rover V8

What else have people seen, i want something totally bonkers.

they way to go with a kitten would be a hyabussa engine mounted in the back.

z-cars do a twin hyabussa mini good for 60 in less than 3 seconds

im building a lexxus v8 powered s14 with two t28s and a scratch built seven with a 350bhp redtop which should weigh in at about 500kg-

those any good to you

one of those old invalid cars, you know the one, they were blue with a hyabussa engine

Have you seen grasstrackers lately?

A lightweight tubular frame, somewhere to sit,4 wheels, a steering wheel, tiny fuel tank+ one, or even two hayabusa engines.

I would love to see what they would do on slicks, cos when they grip on grass its incredible to watch.

I spoke to a guy at the pod with an old fiesta with a gsxr1100 engine, all stock with a spacer plate under the barrels+ a turbo.300 bhp+ he only spent £1000.That was fun to watch.Rear wheel drive too!

^^ haha thats great!

There was someone on driftworks that was selling a reliant kitten and a bike engine (think R1?) and that was cheap as chips - about £800 iirc, not sure if its still for sale or not though.

A Vauxhall Nova with 2 highly tuned C20LET engines (one in the back, one in the front) running about 400bhp each, running huge turbos and EDS management amongst other things. So 4 wheeled traction combined of 800bhp in a car that ways as much as a Fray Bentos tin.

I think I know the car you are taliking about! I'm sure I met this guy when I was in the DUB scene.

Are you in West London by any chance?

BTW I would love to see your front bumper in the flesh. I am thinking of getting that one myself. Did you get it from the Z centre?

Andy

there is another capri in clarksons dvd's which he says nothing about but its very quick, anyone got a vid of it, cant seem to find it on youtube

nah im in south east london. That lupo is insane, i never got a chance to be in it running tho. Im still into the DUB scene (edition38 guys) some of the mods they having running on their cars are just pure madness

I got the front bumper off one guy from the driftworks forum, the bumper itself is an old re-worked prototype i believe of the viper bumper that the zcentre now sells. car going for some major body work/smoothing so when that sorted il bring it to a meet at some point

do you have any pictures of your bumper you can put up or email me?

Andy

Haven't seen it in person, but this project has been on-going for years:

27 litre Merlin tank engined Rover SD1:

Also, been following this build for a while:

Ford Granada with a koenigsegg CCX engine.

Super impressive stuff from just the engineering point of view.

I've seem a fiat 500 with a 350 chevy block in it up at santa pod, unbelievable to see that little thing shoot up the strip like a rat out a drainpipe! :hyper:

If you do fancy doing something mental i have a 6.3 chevy block sitting in my garage almost complete (block, polished stainless crank, ported polished heads, rockers, springs and valves) i'm putting up for sale AGAIN after 3 time wasters saying they'll have it then not being able to cough up the funds. All you need is sump, rods and pistons, pushrods and the usual and it'll be a monster :D

nissan micra with a gtir engine and running gear. Fully stripped with the 1.0 badge still on the back.
