Only did a dry test , should have read the online manual first

It,s not looking good though :cry::cry:

137psi 130psi

135psi 130psi

145psi 137psi

I was checking it out as i,m gonna take her off the road , do a manual conversion , fit manual tubs and boost controller , looks like another engine or re-build is needed .

Those figures dont seem that bad really,if you have no issues then whats the problem, when you get below 100psi your in sh1t.I wouldnt raise the boost on it though.

Thanks for the input lads , mileage is around 100.000 , i,m getting a fair bit of smoke on tickover from the O/S but none from the N/S so naturally think the tub seals as i replaced them with re-con units 4 years ago for the same reason , when you floor it there,s a fair bit of smoke until it clears it,s self out but when you stop and on tickover it starts smoking again but not every time , pcv,s have been done twice just in case .

The problem i have is i was gonna convert to manual and fit a boost controller , got a complete manual conversion kit , a pair of very low mileaege manual tubs which i,m gonna re-con and fit staggered gap rear oil seals and some free flowing exhaust manifolds but i doesn,t look like it,s worthwhile on this engine.

The engine does run very nice , a bit of big end rattle on startup ( was gonna drop a set of shells in while i was at it ) and then it,s very smooth and quiet .

I really don,t want to do all this work if the engine isn,t viable , any more input would be appreciated .

Sounds like you've talked yourself into it, go on, it's only this years holiday money you're spending !!!!

yeah go on matey .. its well worth it

There's a V8 on ebay................:w00t:

Seriously tho'-It all depends on how long your thinking of hanging onto her mate.Going to the trouble of pulling the engine etc,I reckon I'd be looking for another lump and re-building that so you can just swap em',change to Manual and all's good!
