Has anyone seen an attractive looking Peugeot lately? I was watching a news article about some of the Toyota recalls, these are affecting PSA in Poland too where the C1 and 107 are produced....just got me thinking how revolting and ungainly they now all look with their stupid over sized grilles and out of proportion body lines.

Their car selection as faced when you look at their home page looks more like a group of failed audition entrants from Rude Dog and the Dweebs...just look at this collection of cretinous looking vehicles.

I mean, can anyone honestly say when the look at this lot 'those cars look cool'...?

Rumour has it that Peugeot designers went out for lunch in 1998 and never returned!

I am not a big French car fan, but Peugeot used to build some pretty decent looking cars...

i feel the hot hatch has been killed off really...

to me a hot hatch is a nova GTE/SR or R5 turbo or even better 205 gti..

what do we get not days the c2 vts.. i mean look at it....

love seeing the old hatches running around and always fancy one for going to and from work as a bit of fun..

bring back the cool hot hatches..

as for modern fugly cars.. there are maybe 1 or 2 cars i would consider owning.. but thats it nothing of any interest

Not sure it's necessarily hot hatches. Some of Peugeots cars were kinda sleek and elegant, but now they all look like they've either been punched in the face or modeled on a basking shark.

The old 406 looked MUCH nicer.

...even the 405 looks better than the 407.

had the gti-6 great car..

or even a 405 mi16 was better than the modren pugs...

prob is each manufacture now picks a shape and just makes the size different...

i liked it when each model was different

Nice one Si

I've just been winding my colleague up with this, as he owns a 59 plate 308, And I had the missfortune of having to suffer one for a couple of weeks at the end of my time with my foot in plaster late last year (but then I had been spoilt by the Volvo V70 I'd been given prior to that :D )

Got to admit that the Pininfarina 306 Cabriolet and 406 coupe are very well styled cars indeed.

What i hate the most is the 207 i think. Where the rear arch lines up with the bumper and rear arch. WTF has the designer done there :lol::lol:

Yup, I like the new Mazda 3 too.

Although I’m probably slightly biased here as I’ve never really liked the designs of most pug’s. Excluding some of the old school models, but i must agree the current line up and design style is certainly way out there (imo)

……and i would not buy one in a million years lol

Each to there own though ;)

they seem to be following other manufacturers and using a 'family grille' on all their models.

I liked the older stuff, 205 gti, mi16 etc, and the missus is getting a 306 convertible soon which I've always liked. But I always remember these three:

i had a 406 a while ago and a mate had 406 coupe. both quite nice cars.

the mrs has a 206cc untill we sold it and got an a3 anything post 206 seems to have been really badly styled, perhapse by someone from veilside

agree. i had a 309 gti (not loved by many) but was such a good car when your 19, i could not believe the difference between a standard 309 and the gti loved the 205 and 405 mi16 too

Ive got a a New Scirocco on a four day test drive at the moment and it reminds me soooooooo much of the eighties hot hatches. Driving position is great (and I'm 6'3'')

Think yourself lucky that the UK never got the 206 sedan!
