Well I started the big conversion this afternoon!!! And just got in, Black, bruised and aching, but loads done!!

Got the car on axel stands 18" in the air, and removed drivers seat and interior parts to access gear knob etc, Removed exhausts, propshaft, starter, gearbox links and wires and fitted the pedal box , drained the gear oil and all ready to drop the autobox out tommorrow evening!! :sweatdrop:

One f***in allen bolt on the propshaft took about 1 hour to remove as it was right at the top and i had a 1mm turn on the allen key, I nearly gave up after 20 mins but kept on and whoooo it came off!!

I am a bit confused over the difference in flywheels? I have bought a N/A box to fit in my TT ,I am told that the flywheel is different? Why is it different and what are the differences? I will be putting a lightened flywheel and TT exedy clutch in but i was just curious of the differences? if anyone can shed some light on that for me it would be appreciated.

Anyway thats all for now, I only wrote this to share with people who understand what I`m doing, as the girlfriend has moaned all day and thinks its a useless exersise!!! Women :yawn:

Of course you could Richard!! With a bit of help from the 300zx.co.uk lads, we could talk you through it, thats what we are all here for. Must admit though, I was soooo tempted to give it Jeff to do, but money is tight for my hobbies at the moment ,I`ve learnt so much whilst under there too :hammer:

Well ,not much happened yesterday, I had a big clean up and re grouped my tools which were everywhere and full of oil!! so tonight I had a polish underneath took a few pictures and ground the inside of the bellhousing out!

I found out that there is only 4mm radius difference between the TT and the N-A Flywheels and the propshafts are well different as you can see in the pictures;
