AIV removal

Hi,

Am going to remove my AIV system & have the wings off so want to remove the whole lot including the upper tanks.

I have seen all the removal instruction threads but on the drivers side tank is a larger diameter hose that dissapears through the inner wing & comes out somewhere under the brake servo - I can find no reference to this anywhere! Any ideas where it goes to?

Not had a great deal of time to look as was at work & shutting up shop time! :biggrin:

I know most people leave the tanks but if anyone knows would be grateful to know where it connects to!

Paul

LOL - you two are a right couple of winkers!! :rofl:

LOL joking aside theres always use for spare vac pipe as most of the fecker perishes due to under bonnet temperatures and age and these bits seem to last the longest. :tongue:

will you 2 pack it in - get your own thread to wink yourselves on! :slap:

:lol::lol::lol:

ok - stand down! Should have looked a little harder :oops:

The pipe in question just goes through the inner wing to atmosphere! :thumbup: All ripped out now :yes:

Just doesnt make sense where people say it can affect the idle on a standard ECU as it doesnt even link into the intake - which is what I was assuming LOL!

So, getting back on topic, the pipe wasn't connected to anything then mate?

Ah - an on topic post! How refreshing! :clown:

No - the hose went from the drivers side tank through the inner wing & just vented to atmoshpere here!

All ripped out now along with the PRVR can & valve
