Nend / peter had one avilable a short while ago!

Think it was about 10k. Standard spec car.

Decided a prefered my modid 97car..

i think its a bit of waste of dosh imho....i mean you can get 1994 model for lot less money and do all your heart desires for less than the cost of the stock 99 ones.... basically (as i recall it) all the changes with ecu's on the later ones version r etc mean you can't re-prog them very easily / upgrade...the other changes are just trim n paint as above you can do all of that to your exact spec for less than the cost of importing

hmmm yes, only advantage with a 99 is less likley to have any rust at all and possibly lower milage, although like uno says you could prob get a very low milage rustfree 94 for a fraction of the price, then buy a full 99 spec bodykit and still have spare change in your pocket.

However you still end up with "mutton dressed as lamb"

lol thats one way of putting it pete...not sure i'd fit the full 99 kit better to be a little different as i think even the 99 look is looking a little dated

still think its an awful lot of cash to part with for a stock zed....same budget gets a lot of (older) car and of course when you upgrade bits n bobs you know whats been done...all that knowledge/experience is no bad thing when it comes to zed ownership...stock zeds will still go wrong etc

Pretty sure that there was some changed done to the chassis of the later models, which stiffened them up. Maybe it was the body which was strengthened, one of the two - but the later cars are somehow stronger.

agree, you can have a 94 model and the money you save, just get the other interior bits/lights and done.

in regards to rust, my 1991 doesnt have a spot of rust onit.

the only thing with the 99spec is probably the mileage.

You dont get rust on any freshly imported Import. 1990 or 1999.

Unless prices come down, I dont see a market for them unfortunately...and 1999 is still an old car in todays market.

14k. Been for sale a while. http://www.dta-motorsport.com/marktplaats/versionr.htm

Chassis, Body = same thing. It has the same structural changes as the Convertible Z has.
