anybody got the correct route for the lines on the z. there are 4 original "fixing" points on the z but the lines only come with 3 collars. 1 is accounted for by the brake pipe but where do the other to route??

which 2 out of the 3 are used

cheers

BUMP no help on this ... DANNY WHERE ART THOU???

I'm HERE! LOL!

If these are the braided lines you bought from me then the caliper end doesn't require fixing into place. Remember, you're removing the little bent metal hose that originally went into the caliper (and also houses one of the four fixing points). For the rears you remove the holding bracket all together and there are no fixing points other than at the caliper and at the arch.

Dan, Is this the same for the HEL braided lines? i.e do they connect direct to the callipers and do away with the bent metal hose.

Not sure about the HEL lines Dave but here is how you check:

If the braided lines have a MALE 10x1 connector at one end then that'll go straight into the caliper and you can do away with the bent metal hose. If there is a FEMALE 10x1 connector on both ends then you'll need to keep the bent metal pipe going into the caliper. As far as I know, my DTA lines are the only ones that go directly into the calipers but I could be wrong - other manufacturers may now also offer this type of fitment.

Hope that made sense.

Regards,

Thanks Dan, The HEL ones have female connectors  should have looked into it more when I got them as yours sound much better :detective:

Well, if you want a set of our DTA lines then I've got about three complete sets in stock right now ... ;)

is this how you left it gaz? i see what you mean by them not fitting properly when attaching the line locators in the same orientation as the oem flexibles...

yes what i ended up doing was to adjust the bracket on the strut so they sitted a bit more positivly. i think i just squeezed them in a bit but not 100%

no this isnt the same for the HEL they only replace the bit that attaches to the suspension.
