Had a little bit of free time yesterday at work so started doing some bits on the zed project!

Removed the rear spoiler - should knock about 0.5 sec of the 0-60 time with the weight saving!

Will prob change my mind a few times but 99 spec is favorite! :cool3:

Rear sill piece is shaped nicely to fit - have both sides & both outer sill panels also. Have also got an arch repair panel for the NSR. Bit of welding, blending & painting & should look good! :hammer:

Let your camera be your friend !:cool2:

Look forward to the next update.

Just remember, as the welding sparks land in your ear, or up your sleeve, just keep thinking of the summer cruising in her when its done !!

Some more time to work on my zed again today.

Starter was making some nasty noises (sounded like a ring gear worn!) - removed & stripped & found the end plate loose causing the starter to flex & the gears not to mesh!! Rebuilt & re-fitted & alls good again!! :thumbup1:

Removed the rear bumper & found another rust hole that needs plating LOL!

Repaired my tailgate latch that was messing around.

Car now wont start & getting a code 11 - guess I need a new CAS! Tried stripping & cleaning hoping I will have the same result as the starter but no such luck!

Still - am getting my new engine on friday from Richard (trick82) so not too worried about the non start! :w00t:

Well, Thanks to Richard (Trick82) I now have a new engine to drop in! Collected last night & looks like a lot of work has gone into it. HKS 2530 turbo's, 600cc injectors, lightweight pulleys & flywheel, uprated engine mounts. :hyper:

Also bought his Jade R alloys:

All brand new with new tyres!

May send them off for a refurb ( :blushing: ) as I think I prefer them in silver!

I do like the wheels. Everytime I see them though, I think of this person.
