Just need to know the name of the plugs i should be using if running higher boost, eventually 21psi. ive got stock plugs at the mo and i think they may be blowing out, as it starts to misfire off boost.

Jimmy mate, at the end of the day it's your car and you driving it. We all think and take on board what we like.

I really respect the way you've worked with your zed and your big balls in trying things that others don't/won't :)

All i'll say is please remember stock for the US was a 6, for the UK it was a 5, so imo all numbers referred to above, for the UK should be less 1, but that really is my opinion fella.

A couple old links for yer but direct info from NGK here in the UK.

At the end of the day mate, they hardly an expensive item to buy, so try what you think and change em as you think eh..

Good luck anyways

Well i am a bit worried about these plugs now, if they do start fouling then il have to change them, if they dont happy days?

i do like being overkill with safety but maybe it is too cold, has anyone used these with problems?

I have searched the uk forum and i havent found anyone running the 7's...... or even anyone running them with any problems so its hard to determine if they would give out any problems, theres only one way to find out eh?

I appreciate your replys and help smithy very informative as always, maybe you should have posted when i created the thread, it may have affected the outcome lol :( never mind........

Hey jimbo, when you fit these cold puppies, let me know how your 300 performs, and if it is good...... then me is gonna get a set baby!!!!!! (you is the guinea pig buddy, but i am watching with rabbits eyes in head lights lol!!!) If all goes well, i see a sticky coming up!! I like you.... hanging your balls out there!!!

lol will do matey :D

wont be long now.:tt2:

You won't foul up 7's using the car normally. I used to run ZFR7F-11 coppers in mine all the time and they were fine.

I currently running 1.2 bar of boost and (without NOS turned on) in excess of 500 rwhp and use Denso Iridium IK22 which has been absolutely fine with no fouling at all in the past 3000 miles of mixed driving. Thor, clever boys, seemed to think that NGK Iridium BKR9EIX were the correct plug. They used to foul up within 100 miles and totally useless they were :mad2:

For the street you should stick with a sensible plug because whether you like it or not, most of your driving will be at relatively slow speeds :)

Right plug type but it doesn't state the heat range. Just search ebay for BKR7EIX, I got 8 for about £40 recently for mine.

well i only set the boost to 12ish psi around castle combe, so i dont how much power that pressure will give out.

What did you get on the rollers with John? He said you'd been up there as I heard your car was a little low :nelson:

420 on his rollers, then after some fiddling with the exhaust and a cooler engine i got 470 at redline in enfield. and now after santa pod my clutch slips anywhere past 14psi :(
