Curious to know if you Z fans are first timers and stuck with it or if you had one, went elsewhere like me and came back. I had TVR chimeara and lotus esprit in my 'in between years' but came back to the Z.

Still on my first one. But had a few cars while i owned it , due to upgrading fixing etc sooo glad to get back behind the wheel of the z when i have fixed/modded it :)

mine went into the overhaul garage in march, got bored in june, bought a convertable rx7fc turbo, naturally it blew up and now il left with the 300 still sat in the garage being finally put back together..... win.... i think?

Had my first one, then it was time to step up the ladder and got an R32 GTR, then went back to a Z! Then I lost my job so thought I better get something sensible and tried the dub scene, which didnt really suit me lol. So a swap for a skyline, buying a dodge, a few old fords etc I'm back in my 3rd Z - I obviously cant stay away from them!

im on my first one, waited ages to get one, found a project one, but to be honest, id say getting a decent one to start with would be a better idea, project ones are good, if you can put the time and effort into them, but then its always going to stress you at some point. luckily im sticking with it. though i have come close to saying bugger it and getting a decent one.

Only reason its tested me so far, is every time i get that one step closer to the MOT, its thrown something else up. after the brake pad renewal, i only had a wheel stud and nut Plus a steering rack gaiter to sort out, then a brake pipe snapped moving the caliper out of the way to replace a wheel stud, then once i had repaired that, i had a nightmare with bleeding the brakes.

Now that's done, i found a spot of welding that needed doing at the same time my high pressure pipe for the power steering developed a leak. Saturday the welding is getting done (one 2" gash from a speed hump, the other a hole about the size of a 2p piece) then all ill need for the MOT is the power steering pipe replaced and new power steering fluid. then MOT and see what else needs doing.

then its cosmetic replacements, rust removal, new full body spray, targa leak to sort out. and a few other bits and bobs to get her looking how she should and jobs a good un so to speak. that's if its going to play ball and actually let me do it with out kicking up a stink and throwing something else into the mix.

I am on my third but it is only a used as a second car, a toy if you like. I keep spending money on 'em with mods etc., then sell them, then miss the thrill and buy another. Spend shed loads again on the engine, turbos, wheel etc., get bored, sell it. I dread to think how much I have spent on Zeds so far, that said I think this willl be my last as it does not have anywhere to store my pension book, incontinence pads or my zimmer frame.

I had Z'ds back in Oz and when I moved over here started with an Astra (GTE), then Mkiii supra NA and moved on to a turbo, had a Vectra SRi for a year while fixing the Supra turbo and now finally back to Z'ds (don't know what took me so long..lol).

this is my first 32Z, wanted one since they first came out, nearly bought one (a convertible) in Oz.

Love the look and power....

2nd for me had a 93lwb TT then moved to Manchester so sold that for a more sensible long distance driver, now im back down south straight back into my swb

Must admit my last 2 were my main cars and I like the fact this current one is now a 'toy'. FAR easier on the wallet

This is my third 'this ones staying' zed, My signatures a bit of a red herring as i have had a few project zeds i've fixed or upgraded+ moved on.

In the meantime, i've had an audi a8 4.2, toyota supra turbo, honda prelude, honda legend, mondeo snoozemobile, bmw 525, bmw 735 + a couple of cheap runabouts.Phew.

I've still managed to spend most days using a zed for my main car.

I toy with the idea of a 'sensible' permanent car, but then i drive the TT + nothing else compares. :taz:

Im on my third zed now but i've not been without one since i got my first.

First one was broken due to rot, second one broken due to crash damage and my third one is here to stay.........
