I have the software for conzult and TC fitted, ive hooked the laptop up but its not reading that its attached to the car, my TC doesnt work, I have checked behind the TC/Launch controle switches and cant find any breaks in the wires, the led's arnt working either, I think its all wired up together, their must be a break in the loop somewhere, where else can I look?

Thanks

if you have connected through a serial to usb adapter it maybe that because i cannot get mine to read or write to the car but with an old serial port laptop its fine.

i cant comment on the conzult but my blitz (?) usb cable works ok and reads fine.

To the best of my knowledge, the RLTC system is wired directly to the ECU wiring loom in the passenger footwell. If there are any problems at that point then there won't be any power to the TC system. With regard to ConZult, if there is a problem in the wiring (ie, because of the addition of the TC system) then signalling to the diagnostic plug may be impaired and hence the (ConZult) system won't register that it is connected. Alternatively, if you're trying to run an official DTA ConZult diagnostic kit through a USB-Serial converter then you may require one of our own converters as some converters are known to cause problems with the ConZult equipment. However, I don't think this is the issue as your TC is also experiencing problems. Try to do a continuity trace on the TC wiring.

It's not something daft like the ecu connector is not lined up properly is it? I know that they can cause odd problems if not plugged in and the bolt is either too loose or to tight. Just a thought.

You have three connections form your laptop to your car.

Conzult (plugged under bonnet release handle)

Traction Control (Accessed via the glove box wire loom)

Clifford (again accessed via the glove box wire loom)

The wires for the traction control should all be in place at the ECU side. The LEd should come on unless you have a break in the led wiring. I believe one of the wires to the back of the LED may have come off. Pull off the pannel and check that the wires to the dial and the led are connected ok.
