(just got this from another forum....):sneaky2:

Hey guys,

I thought you may want to know this bit of information regarding Farcebooks latest changes as they have kept very very quiet about it.

As of NOW you are automatically "indexed" on google. Info, pictures, notes, basically anything that's got your name on it is now not just restricted to your friends, it's global.

To stop this you need to do the following:

Go to Settings --> Privacy Settings --> Search --> then UN-CLICK the box that says 'Allow indexing'.

Farcebook kept this one very quiet indeed so, many of your friends will also not know they have been plonked on Google over night - feel free to pass the information on.

Mmm.. don't know.... LOL... i just changed my settings, didn't try to see it I could find myself first.... I don't trust facebook since the photo's and stuff property issue!!

maybe get one of your friend to try and google you from their place... see what they get.

It will take a while for the Google search-bots to read and digest all the available Facebook pages so it could just mean that they hadn't got to yours yet (it can take weeks because they go though every web page on the net on a regular basis)

I have just changed my settings and will keep them that way - in fact I am thinking of canning Facebook altogether as they seem to have lousey privacy settings.

Duly changed - cheers mate!

I also noticed that Farcebook has "updated" other settings too; meaning that you have to manually revert to your old ones. Like the privacy settings that enable others to see your information! Make sure you switch back to "friends only" as necessary.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
