i was just about to post this, also his mother had passed a few not long ago before all this. cant believe the judge passed on this ridiculous sentence considering hes a heavy tax payer too making millions and empoying 10 people in the recession.

The funny thing is, one quick well placed crack :gun_bandana: that would have killed him would probably have resulted in him being let off, as that would have been self defence

iwould have snapped the bat across their heads and poked their eyes out with the splinters, i think the prob is they chased them, if they had managed to beat them in the house they may have got a leanient sentence

"leaving intruder Walid Salem with a permanent brain injury after he was struck with a cricket bat so hard that it broke into three pieces"

^ f**king respect!

he ain't going to terrify, threaten or steal from anyone else in his lifetime. i just hope that Munir's position as chairman of the Asian Business Council helps him not only to avoid this rediculous sentence but also to show the w**kers who run this country what a s**thole theyve turned it into

Well said that man, get everything they deserve.

With 50 previous convictions......... well at least there won't be 52:thumbup: obviously being convicted of his crimes didn't serve as a deterent to him........ nice chunk of willow seems to have done the trick:yes:

I have to agree there Dave....

.....what a great country we live in. Blair & brown? - I hope they're both proud of their legacy:no:

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I feel so sorry for this guy - can't believe the judge passed this sentence - it's a disgrace.

I've been in a similar situation (I was mugged by three guys - at least on with a knife) and I was arrested on suspicion of GBH because I fought back and hospitalised all three. to the point where at least one couldn't testify. I got off though without trial because the police saw sense at least!

This is a freakin' nightmare - I don't understand why it could not be assumed that there were reasonable grounds for fear of reprisals which is why he chased them and ensured they could not come back!!!

Sounds like more nanny state bull**** to me. Kick their as* and don't look back I say!!!

The law is an ass  as they say, the cps are a joke, they will not prosecute or take further action unless they feel they can get at least an 90% chance of conviction.

Not in this case unfortunately but generally.

Myself and several others got ripped off by a conman, who then did a runner. We managed to trace him to an area of the country and let the police do the rest.

They brought him in for questioning and even though the police knew he was guilty as sin, cps wouldnt take it further, through lack of evidence proving he wasnt going to pay the money back.

He is still doing the same thing in other areas and still the police cant touch him, so as long as there isnt much proof or you dont do anything silly, like leave behind DNA, you can get away with murder( hypothetically speaking):shuriken::wink:

Pakistan always was good at cricket....I'd back this fella all the way and probably would've joined in if I was in that family too!

Blaady ridiculous.

I am a peaceful kinda guy,but I'm sorry..

If you are wearing a balaclava + holding my family prisoner + telling me i'm going to die, you deserve all you get.

I cant imagine chasing the bast%rds out of the house + then stopping them+ not being in such a scared, angry state that i would of been able to just 'hold them until the proper authorities arrive'

Think i would be inside too.

Threaten my life+ the first chance i get i would be stopping you.Whatever the means, whatever the result.

His 50 previous proves,+ the mockery that is the householders conviction,my little faith in justice still holds.

Old biker proverb, theres no justice.Just us.
