its a fookin disgrace, there is no incentive to work as they are getting money hand over fist, and remember they wont have to pay council tax as they are on benefits, we had a guy in our bedsits where his ids were took into temporary care as his wife had died and they lost the family home due to financial difficulty and with him only being able to get a bedsit his kids couldnt live with him as they didnt have their own room

 

these people have 8 kids and they get to live in a house most of us can only dream of

 

and as for wanting to start a business, that is a load of shite aswell, they have no intention of starting a business to pay for themsleves, i bet if they found a shitty house big enough for them they wouldnt move, and to be honest neither would i

My mum is a full time carer for my dad who at the age of 49 suffered a stroke and was left in permanent vegatative state and gets a massive £53 a week. Because they both worked hard and brought a house rather than asked for a free one she is entitled to absolutely nothing else in terms of grants or discounted rates on council tax etc.

 

Stories like this make me sick and make Austrailia or Canada seem more appealling by the day.

Of course, the Tories will get in and change everything for the good. Just like they did last time the got in the door of No 10. I'm afraid that anyone who comes to power will promise the earth to get in but then will concentrate on all politicians main policy, filling their own pockets!.

fret not she wont be there for long as the kids grow up / leave etc she'll lose the LHA allowance and have to scale down as the rent is unaffordable. i'm afraid the people to be really angry with here are the greedy councils/ha's for not building houses for families to rent, i asked one very large london HA how many 3 or 4 bed homes they had built in the last 5 years...answer was none! they put all their efforts into 1-2 bed flats to rent or to sell to key workers etc as the clever money men backing the developments told them it made more profit per square foot. hence the crisis of larger families who need 3 or 4 or 5 bedrooms with no affordable housing to go to, its illegal to put them into overcrowded accom' so they council have to go to the private sector to bail out their lack of proper planning. this wont go away it'll get worse as more family people are repossessed and go to the council for housing....hey ho :(
