I’m looking in the near future for a manual tt, just trying to find as much information out as possible before the right one comes along.

I have noticed some of them don’t come with leather, and wonder how universal the seat are to swop over between the models, does the seat belt move between s1 and 2 cause any problems or are the electrics different?

Thanks for the info.

All models utilise the same seat fitment, not all were electric, the seat belt on a jap is on the door, UK on the pillar, no issues, a Uk belt set up can be fitted to a jap, the holes are there for it. ive changed mine 3 times so far, going to the 4th soon lol

All leather seats from series 2 onward were leather AFAIK. Personally, I'd just get a set of Series 2 electric seats and recover them. I've only seen a small handful of seats that you could call 'tidy leather' seats.

I agree, ive had 2 sets of leather and neither are that great to be honest, just got a really nice set of velour to fit, much warmer for the winter and not so hot on the legs in the summer

are the left and right seats the same?

same on the rails etc?

i think i have 2 left seats, or 2 right seats in mine, as they rub close to the centre console.

sure they didnt on my old Z

Good spot Tudor! Never seen you round these parts, is yours on the road currently? have just sorned mine now for the winter.
