Apparently Porsche are planning to release a new GT car; which should be the spiritual successor to the 928 (of which the late spec GTS was my favourite Porsche)....

I quite like the look of it - what do you think?

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Always loved the 928.

That new one does look good, back end reminds me of an Aston Martin

Agrea with the rest, it looks like a great car!

Before buying the Zed I looked at buying an 928 S4 and test drove a few. They are epic cars with fantastic build quality and reliability although they handle well for a big GT cruiser I wanted something a little more nimble on the twisty's. The biggest bone of contention for me was the price of the spares, a number of owners mentioned that if you go into 928 ownership you should buy a second one to use for spares.

Anyway happy with Zed just as iconic IMO, and will become more of a classic GT in the years to come.

there's a 928 foe sale near me at £1850- 'a' reg- been stood four years but looks tidy- keep thinking about being tempted but would need someone to look at it with me as I don't know what to look for on them!

The early ones were ugly and slow. 87 onwards and you got the facelift one which was a stunner and went better!

Very Nice :) never liked the 928 though, however i owned a 924 (poor man's porsche) and a 944

I liked them from series 4 onwards too - that 5.0 V8 was superb.....

......and then the late spec 5.4 was even better in the GTS:bow:

Ugly is a matter of opinion, slow is untrue its a healthy 240bhp and being a V8 its nice and torquey, a 911 turbo is slow compared to a Veyron but still not slow in the big picture. Here's some pics of mine after I restored it,. Sold it to buy the Zed, not as quick as the Zed but 10 years older and 3 times the miles on it.

Dont like the new one all the manufactures seem to look the same. Love the looks of the old one.

Here's some pics of mine

Very nice!

And thats my mate's car parked right behind you. As well as the 911 he had a 928, dont know if it was at that show.

That cabriolet was lovely. He won a prize IIRC

Yeh Kev has won quite a lot of prizes with the car

He spends a fortune on it, and keeps on changing its look.

Personally I think it was spot on about 2 years ago and he should have left it as was, but he likes a change

Always loved the 928.

So did i untill i bought one :hurl: horrible except for the engine
