Thanks znut, think I must have some other prob. There isnt one fuse that would cover everything thats wrong. What are the two under the bonnet for ? Had an oil change this morning, could they have disturbed something ?

Thank Murt buddy. Need to find out what and where the two fuses under the bonnet are. Nissan garage said to try resetting the ecu. Seems odd to me ???

Hi Maz

resetting the ecu wont make them work again, def sounds like a fuse or two.

Do you have the climate control numbers showing?

Footwell fuses are most likely, take them out to check, rather than looking at them in situe.

The mirror switch is a seperate fuse to the wipers etc,

Failing that there are relays behind the fuse board in the kick panel as well as the time control unit which controls wiper speed, light circuit, etc.

Look at brians post, it shows exactly what fuses are under the bonnet, the ac is in the main fuse box

Hope you manage to sort it

Hiya Graham, I've lost your number. Was going to bell you on the trip down. Thought you'd have a good idea what the problem is. No temp reading by the way, but your led's working fine. Left pod does nowt, mirror fold-in and adjuster does nowt either, and they're on the centre console. Thought there must be a common fuse cos surely more than one wont go at the same time ? If it doesn't rain I'll be o.k. if it does rain I'll be in the shit. Thanks for answering buddy.:duffer:

No probs mate, will text you so you got it.

No temp reading- no power to the ecu or ecu dead, latter unlikely, so will be a fuse or TCU, there are also relays behind the fuse board, you may have a short, check behind the kick panel/ fuse board for corrosion, everything pretty much travels through there.

Cheers

Graham

Spoke to a guy called Steve in Abergavenny, who has got a TT and had exactly the same fault about a year ago. It's an Auto Electrician job, some broken feed wire he thinks, a sod to find apparently, which probably also means a second mortgage. Anyway the rain held off and were back home. Thanks again to everyone that tried to help.:bow::duffer::duffer:

This is a common problem that oddly effects UK zeds more so than imports and can be caused by many different things but ends in the same symptoms.

The rear of the fuse box in the footwell has a particular relay on the rear, this can fail due to old age, water ingress or loose connection and also a failed ignition switch.

First test the ignition switch, a live supply output when the key is in position one ( accessory) if this is not present then the ign. switch or connections have failed, if an output does exist then onwards to the fuse board.

Not the easiest of places to work in but the joys of working on zeds eh?

Locate the wiper fuse and pull it out, checking with a multi meter set to volts dc there should be no power in either of the fuse connections, turn the key to position one and now one of those fuse connection should have power to it, if not the relay is not functioning.

Remove the board by disconnecting the cable connectors at the front, remove the fixings to the accelerator cable and then undo the three 10mm fixings, pull the unit down and out and then disconnect the cables in the back.

Now with the fuse box in your hand inspect for corrosion. loose relay and any burning etc. The relays can be removed from the back and tested seperately, if they are ok its very likely some of the connecting busbars inside of the unit have failed, although repairable at this point it may be easier to replace with a known good one.

Hope that helps

By the way Jeff, will this also fix the heater(climate control) and the wing mirrors which all packed up at the same time ? Thanks again.
