I have still had trouble with the car running which has been very frustrating :headvswal Basically up yo 3500 revs the car reall struggled and then once the turbo spooled up it went well but it was very hard to get to that point. The worry was a chip wasn't going to work and I would need stand alone management which although a long term plan is out of my budget at the moment. Whilst working on the car to address the overheating issue I had the airfilter off for more room when working, ran the car up to temp to check on the heat issue but while moving about the car I was surprised at the force of suction into the inlet. Originally I had two smaller cotton gauze filters for a twin intake but then took one off when that system wouldn't work, so on reving the car the engine revved freely? So I still had the big filter in the garage which I was going to use before the twin intake idea so got an intake hose made in work and fitted the filter Friday and took her for a spin....

OMG, no hesitation at all, ran really well up to the point the turbo kicks in at 3600 and then the turbo kicks in.... and pulls.... and pulls.....and pulls still going at 6500k.....:hyper::dance::nana2:

Then the gear change and the external wastegat chatter and twin valves... pure driving sex :p

Oh yes!!! Was just about to pm you, the only thing I've done was rewire the ABS so it works, take off cruise control and change the filter so assume it was the filter!

Apart from the rebuild which had to be done, the turbo and pipework has cost less than a grand as I did most of the work myself.

Anyway once the engine is run in and a trip to Mr Dixon the boost will go from a current 11psi to 14psi for another 500 miles and then who knows...

and don't worry it's going to be a big bhp monster ;)

You should of made a template for the manifolds and pipe work etc.

Knocked a few up to sell them on as a complete kit. wouldnt of cost anything then :)
