Hey folks just been looking at Z cantre`s selection of rear lights and i know there is difference of opinons on here so just wanted to find out which is the most popular. Im quite keen on changing things completely so im not sold on 99 spec rears however with the 300zx lit up this could look quite stylish.

I would say the 99 spec is the most popular option with lambo style coming in second, my personal preference is 99 spec, others seem like a cheap aftermarket mistake.

99 spec seem to be the most desirable, especially with the later spec centre panel with the red 300zx logo. Did you see the red/smoked ones that Jeff posted up the other day?

Round rear lights just do not suit the lines of the back end of the Z in any shape or form. They look completely unproportioned and are are not flattering to the style of the car.

The horizontal lines of the stock lights whether they be the original, 99-spec or the new cheap jewel style rears suit the shapes of the Z far more and have yet to see anything that works better with the rear.

depends what your into,

a lot of people are into big lavish kits, lambo lights & chrome wheels when they have a Z. (there are an awful amount of lavish kitted ones out there!)

personally i prefer the stock body, maybe 99 spec in certain areas, & nice set of rims with good stance.

I have to agree the standard Z32 back end is stuuning as it is the 99spec just give's it that edge, personally i think anything more then 99spec is overkill. However it does depend on what other body mods you have or are planning, to get the right look.

Totally down to you and how you want your car to look. Me personally, I prefer the lambo lights

seen the smoked ones Baz and after seeing them fitted to a car must admit they do look nice. Think i will be after the clear or smoked ones just have to work out which i will prefer on my red Zed im thinking clear.

Totally agree mate on both counts.

I do like the two round lights either side but i think three each side is overkill without a doubt.

Also i think that is the style of the light that makes a good look. Ive been looking at the passat rear LED light configuration (just the round part ).

They just remind me of kit cars and caravans, but I also like Abba so maybe my opinion should be ignored !!

You want to know what is most popular, then I'd have to say that the Stock/99 Spec are by far.

But if you want to know what other members prefer, then that could be a different kettle of fish altogether!! ;)

Best of luck in whatever YOU decide in the end. You could always ask if a member can 'photoshop' set of particular lights onto a photo of your own Zed, then you could have some idea as to what it would look like!

Agreed, they seem to be universal lights that are fitted to caravans and busses! A downgrade.

oh to be as worldly wise as you Si to know when something is right and have the courage to let others know when they are wrong:bow::bow::bow:

P.S. Buses only has a single s

No one is right or wrong. The lights are universal lights that are also fitted to buses and caravans. That's fact.

The rear of the zed is what most people will see when on the road:) so make shure you make the right choice.Every body has different opinions but imo the 99 spec lights are by far the best,it was the shape designed for the zed and in the total looks of the 300 its what made me buy one. They say a picture paints a thousand words so have a look:)

The most distinguishable feature of the Z! Car is looking fantastic Gary!

No no no! Mine is nothing special! Just keep it up, it's a clean car and nice to see pics of it on the forum! :D

In my humble opinion, I would say 99 spec are by far the nicest, the originals just look dated now. I personally am trying to keep my car looking fresh and not dated, the 99spec is the best thing in keeping with the cars original looks (because they are original OEM parts) and they do modernise the look of the car.

If you're after LED's badly, then spend the money at somewhere like clearcorners, don't go for the 'Caravan' Esque tack-tastic lighting. My 2p worth. :)
