Had my wide arch kit fitted at custom exotics with a few modifications, ie they got rid of fog lights in front bumper and made both vents on the sides from a double vent to a single vent.

Check my rides for more pictures and i have a few of the progress of them fitting and prep work etc on the computer somewhere.

A couple of people from this forum have had full respray done with them and another one had a bodykit fitted as well.

There work is second to known and i highly recommend them.

Thought about getting a custom one made?? If you're gonna get a Strosek one, they look really good with the dummy vents removed!

Cheers Guys, Would you have any ideas on how much this will be to fit as its gonna be a month or so before i buy the kit anyway so will be getting some quotes on fitting from a few places and would like to know a rough idea first.

cheers Craig

no idea on cost of fitting.

StellaZ as a good few pictures of the one he done on here somewhere.

When I did mine it cost me 6k to get it on and painted, then you need all the other bits to make it look right. You will need coilovers to get rid of the gapping space on the rear arches, then the mods to rectifie the camber adjustment. you will need wheelspacer at £200 to bring the wheels out to the arches. Whilst you are doing it you need to remove any rot in the sill and arch area as you will not have any access to them again once you have the kit on. It will look odd if you dont de-swage the doors at the same time. I am telling you the fitting of the kit is just the beginning.

I would just wait and buy one with it all done!

as i kept saying whilst trying tlo sell my car for 2k with a fooked engine, its still a very cheap car if ya want a wide arse zed lol

I rather get mine done by someone professionally Though, in that case i know its done to the highest standard!!!

mine was done by a guy who has done most of the zeds on this forum including allans and mac1's, mine was done to the highest standard, infact it was fitted better than some others ive seen

fitting these kits aint easy and if ya dont know what to do then t can turn into a shit lookin car

Just because you are paying loads of money dose not mean the job is done to the highest standard!!! Just ask VJAY

Glad i didnt go wide. everyone seem to be doing it at the min

6K to have one fitted is a joke tbh. You can fit a full wide arch 2000gt kit on a mr2 for less :smash:

Its going to cost at least 3K for paint as its a total respray. I had mine redone by Bodyworkplus after some silly bint drove into the side of it. That was a 4.5k job.

All the shuts were done including the hatch. The kit alone is going to cost £1500. When i had mine done Lukes bodyshop (Frank) wanted £1500 just to put the rear arches on.

I would hate to think what I have spent on bodywork, NOT even going there!

As I said previous best getting one that has been done and save £££££ and a heart problem sorting everything out ;)

I could get mine done for 2.5k/3k and thats with the full respray, done buy a mercedes/insurance aproved garage :wack:

done buy a mercedes/insurance aproved garage

Say no more worst rep of all the main dealers, bet they wont even wetflat@3000 between coats ! doubt they even wetflat before cutting!!!

I would not trust an dealer or insurance approved bodyshop, its all about the book hours and costs. I worked for ICI Autocolour, PPG and Max Mayer fitting the computer paint schemes in all the bodyshops and most are crap, with finish, masking, and paint match! You should see some of the stuff I have seen turned out of those places.

got to be done right theres alot of bare-metaling to do before you bond the arches on and you would want the piece of mind that its all been treated before the arch went on for good.

you will need to bake the GRP body kit befor you even think of fitting. This needs to be done in a paint oven to expand any airpockets in the glass. If this is not done when the paint is baked in the oven the air pockets will blow out of the gelcote and you will have to start your flatting and painting all over again.
