ooh nice find, how come i didn't turn that up in a search?

i have had 5 years practice finding stuff on here LOL:p

I sold it about 2 1/2 years ago to a bloke from Inverness I think.

He then put it back up for sale as he said it did not fit in his Garage:eek:

fits in mine with about 1 foot at the rear and 4 inches at the front, just enough room to open the boot and close the garage door lol

Well its in bit of a state to say the least and im having to do heaps of work on it to get it back to how it should be, i have started a journal but you need to be registered to view it, but once i make some major progress and she starts looking like a nice car again, ill get some pics up for you to view.

Hi ya Pete, im really struggling to make sure i have everything ready for this engine out job, not even sure what i really need, i have tools, i have ramps, hydraulic jack, wheel chocks, Axel stands, plenty of room if i need it just out side the garage, cuppa tea / coffee courtesy of SWMBO, haven't the foggiest what oil to top her up with, as I've heard so many different numbers, 10/40 5/40 15/40, fully synthetic, semi synthetic...., i know im going to need to replace the coolant and I've covered that, do i need to empty the A/C system? or is there a work around for it?

If anyone who has done this them selves could give some hints and tips id very much appreciate it.

This might give you a bit more info on the Car

So who cut the hole in the dash to fit a speaker and the hole in the rear internal panel behind the passenger seat?

Its not in the best of conditions tbh, this is the person i bought it off, and if i had seen this post before id purchased it, i would of looked the other way.

Don't get me wrong, it sounded amazing before the engine blew, the exhaust is still on it, with decat middle pipes (got told by the last owner that he put the middle stainless decat pipes on)

By the looks of that, the person you sold it to put a new cam belt on it? in just 5 days? not sure whether to believe that tbh, but then that doesn't really matter now anyway.

Did you sell it with the wheels on?

ill get some pictures of what she looks like at the moment, interior wise, shes going to need a lot of work.

She has a large rust spot on the drivers door that needs sorting out, the pods are loose, with the front demister button fallen off, hole in the dash board in line with the center console for a 8" speaker, hole has been cut out for a 6-9 speaker in the rear passenger side panel, the spoiler has flaked so much around the edge that its just filling up with water and dumping it in the boot. the front bumper needs replacing due to being cracked at the bottom on the drivers side just below the front fog light, the main beam on the drivers side doesn't work properly, drivers side window motor has some teeth stripped, the passenger side wing mirror doesn't fold in properly (possibile teeth stripped on that too)

The rear screen demister doesn't work, the heating doesn't work, the clock doesn't work, the boot doesn't unlock with the key.

Its also showing signs of age to the rear tail light cluster, and there is some strange button on the dash just near the cruses control pod that has a tiny little red LED on it, (though i think this is the button for the rear fog light)

Its got lots of rust on the underside that i need to sort out and then under seal, i think most of this was from the last owner though, his listing wasn't the best description in the world.

Anyway your more than welcome to come down and have a look at her as she is, but i warn you, it might make you upset. (depends how much you loved her)

Bloody Hell.

To be Honest nearly all that has happened after I sold it:headvswal

Some Knobhead had already butchered the dash when I had it

and there was some vibration from the propshaft.

I fitted the exhaust (and god did it sound sweet)

There was no rust, infact I think the car had only been in the country 1 year when I bought it.

Everything else worked and was my daily driver for about 10 months.

I did not sell it for any other reason than I like to swap about with cars

AND this is gonna cause aggro:rolleyes: BUT I could never quite get over the

feeling if I'm gonna have one it should be a TT.

I sold it with the standard wheels but they were not the chrome ones it looks to be sat on now.

I look forward to seeing you bring Her back to life:hyper:

well the chrome was spray on, i think just for the photo, because they sure as hell don't look that shiny now lol,

Being up on the isle of Uist sure has taken its toll on the old girl, and has accelerated the rusting process, i really need to get this engine changed ASAP, and get to work getting all the residual salt of her with a good steam wash underneath, and then i need to check the thickness of the panels where the rust is to see if i can salvage it or whether shes going to need some welding work done, then under seal like mad, horn still doesn't work and its missing the one on the drivers side. thanks for the post she looked lovely when you owned her.

And them alloy wheels really do look nice. cant say i noticed play in the prop shaft, though didn't take her above 60 for the 18miles that i drove her. im thinking about Jade-R's before everyone jumps on them, but i cant seem to find the black ones for the 300zx (just to be different :D), im fine with the N/A, less to go wrong and a little bit less expensive (turbos), also need to get some spacers as the OEM wheels on the fronts sink well into the arches.
