that the queen is on every note? :D

lol , thanks ill be sure to keep my eye out for that :D

Make sure he fills in the new owner part of the V5 log book in front of you, and you see proof of his identity ie drivers licence.

I didnt do it once, 2 months later police knocked at my door re oustanding speed camera tickets. luckily i rememberd his name and part of address.

cheers stu thats the type of info i need id have never thought of that :D

Make sure you keep the V5 to send, the new owner only get's the new keeper slip,

You will then get back from DVLA a confirmation letter advising they are now aware of new keeper details.

cheers chris ..

what are the odds of counterfeit notes being used.... i take it im worrying over something that probably wont happen but i suppose if i follw stus address check then even then i have a comeback... so i guess thats it then....

apart from getting every note under a (uv) light, i'd say it's down to checking the queens head mate

Chris

I know it is unlikely that you would get dodgy notes but I have always did it during working hours so that the cash was handed over at the bank and put into account straight away...that way the notes are checked straight away and also the buyer knows that you dont have a pile of notes under your bed that night...that may just be my paranoia though :o

Hi mate.

I sold my last car, my bmw convertabile for 3200 to a chap from england, he says he was coming with cash........so i got a pen from my mums shop. You just run it over the note and if where you wrote on the note turns green = fake. If not then they are genuine, sure its just couterfit notes or something they are called, worth gettign anyways.
