Hi,

Read lots of posts on here that suggest if the car is not jacked from the correct place, the wings could get damaged.

Looking to change the oil this weekend, so is it OK to use the protruding sills just behind the front wheel, at the back of the wheel arch? This is the place I would normally have jacked up previous Nissans.

Thanks.

Not recommended TBH - I've seen so many sills damaged by jacking here, especially as this is an area prone to corrosion. Recommend jacking under the front cross member if you have a long handled jack - use home made "ramps" to assist (do a search)

DO NOT jack the car under he rear of the front wings (they may "pop out") or under the door sills (unless using the OE jack) otherwise you risk mis-shaping the seams and the sills. Especially if you lift more than one corner at a time!!!

If using any kind of hydraulic jack, then position it under the chassis or cross member.

Thanks guys. I take it the cross member is strong enough then?

Also, are the garage jacking points easy to identify?

Sorry, gone stupid!

The garage jacking points are effectively the cross members. Correct?

Yes, and the Rear garage jacking point is the Diff. I always jack mine up on here, works no problems
