Hiya all

 

Just got a 300zx very cheap due to it not running well and need some TLC

 

Runs lumpy and smoke out of one side. Just need someone to say what is up with it, happy to pay for there time as well. Then I can see if its worth saving.

Is it a blue coloured smoke??

blue smoke it is

Turbo on that side has gone, will need changing or repairing. not sure if that will cause the rough idling though

Just been looking at all the paper work that came with the car, found invoice from the AA when the car was towed home. does say might be turbo.

best off doing both as the other one wont be far behind it, and its a crap job. Most people take the engine out to do it, it is possible to do it with the engine in though it is really fiddly and only a few people will do it like that

Sounds a fun job!! But I think if thats all it is the car will be worth saving.

Hey guys, going good but still not in another Z32 yet! soon as i can save up (in 2 years ;) darn IVA) I'll be getting another one!

Where have all these Z's been hiding. I spend most of my time traveling between Gosport-Fareham-Portsmouth & have only seen one other Z about.

Would this other Zed have been a rather nice red TT by any chance that used to work a few doors up from you?;) It sucks having re-located to Southampton as i don't get to drive the Zed so much any more!!!!
