Hi all,

 

I noticed the location of the fitment of bovs are in different locations.

 

Some just before the throttle bodies and others on the lower intakes.

 

Is there any reason or pros or cons between them?

in an ideal world the closer to the throttle bodies the better, the stock recircs are under the nose panel on the throttle pipes

the ones that go by the bumper are the re-circs,

 

 

they get removed when you fit DVs.

 

 

its just easier to replace the re-circs with DVs,

 

 

rarther than install DVs in the engine bay, aswel as having the re-circs (which you shoudnt do)

I've still got my recircs on until I get them removed and the pipes blocked, but also Blitz BOVs in the engine bay too now. Is this a problem? the car wont be going too far.

Also some bovs are fitted on the turbo inlet what difference does this make?

well i woudnt see it as a problem as such,

 

 

its jsut the re-cirrcs are trying to put the wasted air back to the intake,

 

and the DVs are trying to vent it outside,

 

 

sort of battling each other? not sure if bad tho

Bad. DVs are dumping metered air into.
