I am just asking about putting a 96 Gearbox on and if his engines are OK with NOS... so that might also go on but if hes not keen on NOS I will leave it.

 

Can you tell me is there anything missing I will need?? or anything you would change.

OMG cant believe im spending all this on an old 92 car LOL and the interior and audio to go on top yet as well.. we must be mad dogs and english men . :headvswal its coming in at just over $20,000 usd so far plus import tax etc so I dont think its really that bad is it?

Can I suggest that you dump the 300degree fuel rail (which limits you to expensive side feed 850cc injectors) and go for the Brett Dempsey top feed fuel rail setup - you can easily go to 1000cc top feed injectors that way - and save a packet in the process.

Brett is a great guy and will bend over backwards to assist you. He is happy to ship to the Uk as well. http://bde-performance.com/fuel.htm

Absolutely nowt wrong with the 300 degree set up.

A very well designed kit that exceeds the border kit and the sards are up there at the top of the tree as regards injectors go, 850cc is more than enough for what this guy is doing...

Don't think a "packet" is the saving when it ain't hardly an expensive item to begin with mate. Just a quick look, might possibly be a 100 quid! think i'd have sards over RC engineering and he'll only be fitting 1 set in the his time with the car too..

Well I am not going to argue with the 'Smithy' ;-)) but you can buy the top feed RC 750cc/1000ccc injectors for 30-45 pounds each and they are pretty easy to change as well.

 

Not anything wrong with 300degree I am sure - but seems a half way house design solution IMHO , that has not really moved forward. Nearly all performance cars use top feed injectors these days. And it does not resolve the issues I have with just replacing the stock fuel rail for a similar design and being locked into side feed expensive injectors for ever.

 

 

Sounds like a fab build though. Cant wait to hear that beast.

I paid today so I already have the 300 degree ones.. I am excited but it will take a few months to have it all made and get it over here. I have had my fair share of exotics, 2 Ferraris, 6 Porsches including a GT3 and a tuned twin turbo, and a few other decent motors. But I can honestly say I have wanted to do something absolutely mad with a Jap car my whole life. I dont care what it costs or how long it takes I just want to do whatever I can myself and I am already enjoying every minute of it. If I go spend 40-50K on my 5K zed and it is only still worth 5K then so be it LOL.

 

I fly a desk during the day so it is really nice to get my hands dirty when I get home and get stuck in trying to remove each and every one of these frickin bolts that are jammed in to get the engine out.

 

Thanks for your help but I have already walked the plank now. Help working out what to do with the stuff and how to fit it when it turns up will be very appreciated though.
