Hey everyone I just got a good deal on a zed which needs some work and am thinking about taking it to zedworld. Has anyone had them do an engine or turbo swap? If so what were your prices and how do you feel about the quality of the work? Also do we get a club discount? Thanks.

I had a look at the website but was quoted different prices when I called. Mainly I am interested in the quality of work that the do as im looking at either and enging swap or a turbo swap. Naturally I dont want any shoddy work so I thought I would ask the club. Im thinking the turbos are gone as there is oil in the boost pipes.

mate, don't worry bud. Excellent service and results. Its a family run business and they help in any way. All work done has a photograph receipt showing all work done. Ive had a lot of work done there and he body shop opposite. The web site may be a little dated due to they have recently moved and have been snowed over with work!!;);)

I can vouch for Zedworld's work mate - they do a top job and IMO no-one knows the 300zx like Jeff and co.

I do believe that Jeff has revised some of his prices very recently - I think owing to Nissan's parts price increases - but he hasn't updated the website yet.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Zed world has attracted customers from other countries just to get their Zeds running right. I myself live in Tamworth and had my car seen to by Jeff and Jammie and they are top people, the best IMO.

TBH mate these guys have taken more engines out and replaced than any other person/garage i know.

As said, you get "real" and genuine detailed recepits, the car won't sit there for 2 years and you'll be well impressed with their set up.

In fact some garges and peeps who work on these cars, send them to zedworld for their final setting up.

Cheers

Thanks again everyone. This was the kind of resopnse I was expecting from a Z specialist. I now have no worries about taking my zed to them.

A wise decision; your car will be in safe hands, buddy!

As already said mate - you are taking the right route IMHO.

Top people and incredibly professional with a superb set up!

Cheers,

Isaac

my car is going up there in a couple of weeks so i'll let you know the good work they have done! :) I have heard nothing but good from these chaps and i am glad i made the booking after plenty of other places saying they can get the car running right to no avail. It may be a 300 mile round trip however i think it will be worth it in the end!

I will post my findings when i get my car running like a true zed, Jeff will have a lot of little sniggles i think because he will see the mess it was left in from previous owners.

e.g a turbo timer that is not connected, Wastegates which are all piped in incorrect, i have taken the boost jets out that were in, and my silicon pipes have about 10 jubilee clips on each (tacky bling) and a stage 1 ECU which seems to be faulty

I think he will have a laugh at how the car was setup previously and will most likely be surprised at how my car lasted this long (prays he makes it to tamworth) :(

Either way i will let you know how great his work is :)

Excellent company! I took my zed down for a free check over, they found quite a few things were out (boost leaks and timing off) then put them right all free of charge! Will definately be taking a trip to Tamworth next time I require work doing

I believe that Zedworld was one of the first Jap specialist garages.

I think he has been going longer than any other 300zx specialist in the UK.

Its about 115 miles one way for me.

More than that for me i believe, but i never ever regret the trip!

Likewise......

......And Linda will very kindly drop you at Tamworth station. Luckily my Z is a second car so I can leave it with Jeff & co for a few days if something needs doing;)
