Does anyone know the ref code for a tt? They are giving me HOF207.

Is this right as this is the same as a 200sx 1.8

Thanks

You would be better off with a champion filter from halfrauds, C109 IIRC

Your better off glueing a brown paper bag in there than fitting a Halfrauds filter, even if they manage to get the right one it will probably be inferior quality.

Get your filter from "partco". Approx £5 and a genuine part.

Partco sell Nissan oil filters?

no, just genuine partco lol

seen a rolex for sale the other week which stated it was a genuine copy lol

It's a filter, after 2-3000 miles, it's changed, does not have to be a high spec or oem spec. They are basically the same, do the same job, but for less money. If you leave 'em in too long then, hey, you know......

Incorrect. Not all filters contain the same quality of media, not all are rated to the same beta ratio and not all of them have the same dirty holding capacity. Not saying the partco filters are inferior, I am sure they are perfectly fine, but there are differences between filters regardless of how often you change them, especially in respect of their beta ratio, which is irrespective of frequency of change.

Nissan filters are only £6. ;)

i had a very tappety engine after about 60 miles of owning my zed, i phoned zedworld (long before i knew about this forum) and told him my probs, it had just been serviced and had a non genuine oil filter on, was told to put a new genuine filter on and hey presto sorted

i had a "beta ratio" the other night, my missus was fuming!!!!!

Hope its good enough! Is magnatex gtx 10/40 okay do we think? Doesn't need to be the bra as still running in the engine

I fitted a genuine Nissan oil filter last year and the seal folded in on itself, and when I cranked it over it spat a load of oil out ! I fitted a patern Japenese made filter and it was fine.I noticed that with the patern filter it had a raised edge around the outside of the seal to stop it from spreading outwards when you tighten it (by hand only) where as the Nissan one did not.My Z has a sandwich plate (if thats what you call it) fitted for some extra gauges (oil pressure & oil temp) dont know it the mateing surface does not suit a genuine filter ? I used to work in the motor trade a long time ago and as a result am a stickler for genuine parts has anyone else had this problem with Nissan oil filters ?

Just got a K&N oil filter, and it is meant to be one of the best ones made and available for a zed, the filter material looks synthetic!

I've heard it's a good filter for the Z, also did you get it off e-bay?

Have had the exact same problem when fitting a Nissan oil filter on to a sandwhich plate, when checking the plates against the engine filter plate the dimensions they do not match up, aftermarket filters seem to be slightly smaller and by chance fit the sandwich plates better than a Nissan one.

Thanks for that Jeff would prefere to use a genuine filter but what can you do when your hands are tied !
