how easy is it to remove the rear tailgate window, just that if i get another boot lid i dont want to losse the tinted window as it is the same tint as the rest of the car. or am i worrying to much. ?

It is not easy. You would need to get a professional to remove and refit into the new tailgate. The window's are bonded in and must be cut out.

A rite pain in the arse from what ive heard, ive got a tinted rear window and i hate it ....

makes it really hard work when trying to reverse at night especially when you have a spoiler. Cant see fook all

Will cost you more to have it removed and refit than it would to re tint another rear window I should think.

If you ever find out how to remove the window without using the hammer technique, let me know, because i will use the hammer to remove the existing glass, but will have to remove the glass from a doner tailgate without damage

Have you ever tried removing tint? tis not easy:headvswal

I know a couple of people on the forum that have done it but I have never tried, I prefer it.

I want to get my rear screen lightly tinted when I get my roof bars painted black. :)

Spray can of isopropanol does it easy, Had to remove my heavily ilegal tints, so i used this, great stuff.

Planning on fitting a tailgate tub at some point... need to get the rear glass out!

use a craft knife with the extendable blades they cut through the bonding stuff just take your time and dont force it,

to remove tints i was told peal the tint off and then use acetone(nail varnish remover) to get rid of the glue has worked for me before

ive heard rumours that thinking about fitting the "tub" is considered madness you will regret, as it has another fitting name the "pond", due to its abilty to collect and hold rainwater, like a GI in a desert on survival exercise.
