hi everyone im thinking about buying a theft recovered 92 300zx but I have some questions before I do. Apparently the car was recovered and has no keys. I was able to track down all the parts and was wondering how hard of a job it would be to replace the ignition and all the locks. Any information you have is appreciated.

I plan on replacing the ignition barrel. What should I look for before I buy the car as I dont want to have to replace the entire steering collum.

You wont need to. Once the column shroud is out the way you'll see how its held on - it has 2 security bolts which clamp the whole ignition barrel assembly around the column. These will need to be drilled out, but once their off, disconnect ignition switch etc and it'll all come out.

The door lock barrels are also simple once the door cards are off, two 10mm nuts holding the handle to the door, unclip the rods, undo the circlip and the barrel pulls out from the back.

no problem. can you tell I stripped the locks out my breaker yesterday? lol.
