So how many of us actually use the zed as a daily drive? Its my only car so I do the daily commute and usual running, probably around 100 miles a week. How ever this will change as my place of work is moving so weekly total will be nearer 250. I drive alternate weeks so it probably gonna cost me an extra £1k a year in fuel alone, not to mention wear and tear on the old girl.

I'm thinking of getting a cheap runabout for commuting, but I don't have a drive and parking on my street is limited.

If got a cheapy runabout for about £1k I'd save in the long run after a few years or so, I'm not planning on leaving the company for at least 3 years.

I don't really mind paying the extra fuel but I'd hate to ruin the car doing that many miles down crappy A roads.

Only out in the sun use VXR8 Supercharged as daily driver not much mpg but who cares all about fun.

I work my fuel out at 30p a mile 70 quid to fill and get around 230 miles. (

Jesus somethings not right there! Most of mine is pottering around town i put 35quid in (like 31-32litres) and i get around 130-150miles to that! Did 220miles today in the Zed up to blackpool and back put 40quid in and it was all gone so averaged 29mpg! Unless you have a lead foot or i drive like a granny i think you may have some Overfueling issues or something!

Well its an auto and mainly start stop town and a couple of miles country side to work again with lots of traffic lights, I did average 26mpg to newquay and back which is good I think.

Car should be running ok it was setup at Jeffs at the beginning of the year and runs spot on, I think its just the fact its an auto and the type of journeys I do.

I use my 300zx when ever I get the chance really. AsI just lost my job I antisipate a bit more time to drive the 300 but I also have a Mondeo ST220 that I use daily and I have a Yamaha Thunderace YZF1000 that I brush the cob webs off of now and then. :)

mines been my daily driver since i got her in feb, probley get more use in winter cos won't use bike so much

Not really the best car for winter roads i dont think. Be careful on the old fish tailing.

Rubbish craig - they are great in winter.

I actually found the auto in HOLD mode to be very good in the snow when we last had some, seems to control the power nicely for good grip.

Good to see so many daily drivers though. I think i've convinced myself to keep it as my daily, rather than get a 2nd car, I'd just miss it too much.

I use mine most days but if Im going into city to the shops I taken the mrs pug 206 .dont want no knobhead parking too close and denting my motor do I.
